PO Day 6

Slight abdominal bruising, but it's already beginning to heal. Morning boob is the WORST. Mine starts about 2-3 hours after going to sleep. Even with 10mg of melatonin, I'm barely sleeping. On the way to my post op appt. Fingers crossed! The left is settling in and doesn't both me as much as my trouble boob, the right (even though the left got the bigger implant). Probably because I'm right handed. Hopefully will get cleared to start massaging today, seems to be the only thing that helps.

PO Day 3

So I haven't experienced any true pain, but the discomfort can be unbareable at times. Bruising has settled in between my breasts, my upper ribs, and through the sides on my body. I'm gaining more arm movement (yay). Slight itching on my breasts, either skin is stretching or it's the meds. I'm so OVER wearing sports bras. They definitely contribute to the discomfort. I'm also fed up with sleeping upright. I have a bad back to begin with so its hell (I'm normally a stomach sleeper). TMI alert: going on day 4 of no BM. My system is so sensitive to opiates. I've tried miralax and senna tea, but I will probably pick up some straight up senna pills. Nipples are super sensitive. Morning boob is the worst. I'm liking the size, can't wait to drop and fluff. My nipples used to only get hard when they were stimulated, I don't mind the stiffness, I'm actually a fan.

I have been doing so much research on this site...

I have been doing so much research on this site and I can't thank you all enough for your braveness! I've been wanting a BA ever since I was a teenager, just to feel normal. I had my consultation and surgery within a week of each other.

My left breast was an A+ cup and my right breast was a B- cup. I got 375cc right and 400cc left, silicon/gummy bear, submuscular, incision under breast. I have hips/butt so I wanted a silhouette that would allow me to wear a push up bra when I wanted extra oomph, but would fill out a normal bra for everyday. I have been wearing 2 cup push ups for years, so the goal was to look exactly like my bra, except with the help.

First of all, I have zero pain tolerance. I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep for days and I began breaking out so badly! My nurse was amazing, so sweet and kind. Anesthesia kicked in within seconds. When I regained consciousness, not going to lie, the pain was excruciating. My doctor said that my pec muscles were very fit and tight, and warned that the pain was going to be a little bit more than normal. I was crying hysterically as they fed me a power bar and sprite. My doctor cleared me to double up on pain meds/relaxers (hydrocodone and flexeril).

So now after a double dose, my pain went from a 20 out of 10, to a 5 out of 10. And half of that is my shoulders/back. My right side feels slight discomfort but barely noticeable. The left side hurts more, but the most pain is in my armpits. I would compare it to a super intense chest/shoulder work out. I definitely plan on using the meds, especially once the swelling starts to kick in. Ice is also amazing. The flexeril does not make me tired, so if I need to sleep, my nurse cleared me to use soma instead if I wish. I didn't really have any nausea.

I'm super excited. They aren't even really riding that high, so I'm eager to see once they begin to drop and fluff.

I will post after photos in a day or two.

Dr. Lambie was gentle and kind, I really felt comforted by her expertise. She made the whole experience feel very casual. Her staff and particularly the nurses were the best!
