WORTH IT
Today is day 3 post-op. I showered yesterday, I took a look warm, quick shower because I was nervous. It was hard to reach my hair. I tried to shave my legs but gave up. After I got out I dried off and was exhausted. I couldn't reach my hair to blow dry it, so I just brushed it, and crawled into bed. I stared at my boobs for awhile in the mirror then re-applied the uncomfortable compression sports bra. Today I hope to only have ibuprofen (Since the Vicodin are making me itchy and constipated)... It feels like someone is standing on my chest with cleats, but I am SUPER SUPER happy!

Your pics are awesome!! Isn't it great? To me I am amazed how much the boobs smaller and higher change the entire look of the torso! Keep me posted!
yes, my entire torso looks longer! Which I love! however... I think it does make my love handles stand out more? Maybe I am delusional :)
No way! You look great! Plus now you;ll be able to run more because you feel better.
Man, the first 24 hours was rough. I am glad I stayed in the hospital on morphine. I was puking and feeling very sore. Plus the nurse drained my drains which was nice. they removed the drains the next day before I went home, so I never had to deal with them alone. My first night at home I rested on vicodin which made me very itchy. the second morning I drove to my own house 2 hrs away and have been recovering alone (with my three kids) ever since. I have a couple friends checking in on me, and my 14 yr old son has been super helpful around the house. I have showered for two days now and today is my first day without narcotics. Only ibuprofen. My biggest problems now are that I can't poop yet, and I feel very winded/tired :( Recovery is tiring...
Wow, your doctor did a great job!! They look perfect!!

Surgery is tomorrow at 1pm - I had my pre-op appt yesterday. I am SO excited... I feel like crying with Joy whenever I think about it. I asked the surgeon if he would let the nurse take photos of the actual surgery with my camera for me, and he said yes! I wonder If I will be allowed to post them on this site :)

Good luck Jan20! I think you will feel pretty good after the first 24! And once you see them it will be worth it. My surgeon gave me 2 button/zip up bras. They may provide you with some. Let me know how it goes!!!
Hope your surgery went well!! Hope to hear about your experience when you are up to it!
Hey Jan! How are you feeling? Hope everything went well. Can't wait to see those pictures :-)
Hope your home recovering and feeling good:) Can't wait to see pics! Take care!

I've always been a B-cup, but after 3 kids I am now a saggy DD+1/2 cup. I weigh 129 lbs, and am 5' 7" tall at age 35. My breasts hurt, my back hurts, I wear 2 bras often, and as a runner I am often in tears. It is time for me to return to the B cup that my body is meant to have (proportional), and run on the beach pain free. After several consults with several surgeons I was finally approved by my insurance to have the surgery covered (except for my $3,500 out of pocket annual deductible). I'm very excited, and very nervous.

I had mine yesterday. They look great so far and staying in the hospital was great for me! Good luck!
