I didn't always have big breasts. In grade 6 and 7, I got made fun of for having small, or really nonexistent breasts.
Then, in the middle of grade 8, I found myself with a C cup, and by the end of grade 9, I was a 36DD, and by grade 11, I was a 34DDD, which I am now. Well, I've been wearing this size for a couple of years even though it's a little small.
I want this surgery the same reason everyone else wants it. My back and neck hurt incessantly, I feel uncomfortable in anything form fitting, but like a whale in anything loose! It's essentially impossible for me to run or work out, I can't wear any of the clothes I want. I think I speak for most of us when I say I would like to wear a plain tshirt without being ogled by classmates and people walking down the street!
I've wanted this surgery since grade eleven, and I'm now going into my second year of university.

I'm 5'6" and I weigh ~150lbs. I went to my doctor a few months ago and told her I wanted a breast reduction and the reasons why. She asked me a few questions like if they had grown at all in recent months, if I've noticed any changes, and what size I was now. She decided I was a good candidate, and sent my referral off to a plastic surgeon in my area. About a month later I heard back and booked my consultation, which is next week.
I need to make sure my potential surgeon also believes I'm a good candidate for this surgery, and also I need to make sure I'll be covered under OHIP, the Ontario medical insurance program, because I can't afford it otherwise.
I'll update after the consult! Wish me luck!
