Well I am now 5 months 3 weeks post surgery! I love my new tummy or lack thereof! I even got my belly button pierced over the weekend! A little silly for me since I'm 41 but something I have always wanted to do.

Ok so I am now 6 weeks po and I'm feeling better...
Ok so I am now 6 weeks po and I'm feeling better than I expected to. I saw the doc last week and he said he doesn't need to see me again unless I have a problem. I figured he would monitor me longer but that's ok. I don't necessarily have a burning desire to go to the dr anyway. ;) He also cleared me for ab exercises but I'm a little apprehensive about that so I haven't started an ab routine as of yet. I am back on the elliptical and am feeling great that I can really work out now!
I do however have a question for whoever can answer it. When does this shelf look go away? I'm talking about the area directly below the incision is flat but then above the incision it protrudes a little. I hope it will all flatten out over time, but wasn't sure if this was still swelling. I know my belly button is still swollen and looks kinda funky.

You look amazing! As for your shelf question I call it the "ledge" lol! I had it really bad from about 11 weeks to 4 months and started wearing my binder again at night time! I am 5 mos post op and unfortunately still have it :( it is very minimal when I get up but reappears more and more as the day goes on! my binder @ night helps a ton! I was told by my PS @ 11 weeks it's soft tissure swelling and that it could take 6 mos to go away so hoping it happens soon!

Sans, you look AMAZING, your date is one week before me, so I am not 5 weeks post op. I have the same little "shelf" too, I know it's swelling, my incision is so smooth and clean, well, except for the part that opened up (lol!), If that hadn't happened it would be textbook perfect! I would expect it to last up to 6 months, at least that's what my PS said, it could actually take longer, so many factors play into it you know. Either way, you look FAB.

Wow!! You look fantastic! Do you still have alot of swelling? I'm less then two weeks away and I can't wait!!
Thanks! I still have some swelling mainly at the end of the day. My muscles are still pretty tight and can feel the pull in my upper abdomen. I am able to stand up straight now and have finally slept in bed the past two nights instead of the recliner.

What size jeans were you before surgery? What size after? Your stomach before is the closest i can find to my stomach, and your outcome is FABULOUS!!! You seriously look so good!!
Will you let me know? I go in next Thursday. Im so nervous.
OH YEAH! And did you ONLY get a TT or did you get a TT and Lipo?
