Well I finally did it, I scheduled my mommy...

Well I finally did it, I scheduled my mommy makeover! Reading the reviews and experiences on this site has really helped me. I am 53 years old, 5'4 and pretty fit (127 lbs), but I have some stubborn areas to my lower abdomen, thighs, and sagging breasts. I had my PS appt. and it went well. I have opted for a breast lift with no implants. The PS said that I had enough breast tissue, so implants were not needed unless I wanted a larger size (which I do not, I actually prefer a smaller breast). This is something I have wanted to do for years, and it's hard to believe my time has come! Let the count down begin! I have made my list of things to purchase and have on hand before the surgery date thanks to all of you - your suggestions are so appreciated.

Breast lift pics!!!!

So I'm not brave enough to take pics of the girls without clothes, but I think these pics tells it all! I am thrilled with the lift so far. There is still swelling and the breasts need to take form - but I know this can take up to six months, no biggie. Besides having breasts that are finally at the north pole, my nipples are even. I have scoliosis (not noticeable to others), but my breasts have always been uneven because of my spine curvature. My PS knew this was important to me, and they are so even!

So sorry I didn't take pics of my TT...I showered by myself this morning and changes all my own dressings/binder, then realized I didn't take a pic! I also got on the scale this morning and I am down 2 lbs from day of surgery. Yahoo!!

Tummy Tuck Pics

Here they are... I cannot believe how much courage it takes to post pics. My privacy has always been so important to me that this is a huge undertaking. But, I know that to show my progress will help other women, and that is what is most important!
As you can see in the preop pic, my problem child area was always my lower abdomen. This pic was taken letting it all hang out on purpose! It's amazing how I could "suck it in" all day long with the help of a good pair of pantyhose. Even when I went for my consult, the PS had to tell me to "let it go" so he could examine me properly LOL! My preop weight was 124 lbs! Sure doesn't look it when you see this pic! But this is what happens with pregnancy, weight gain/loss, and aging.
My post op pics were taken this morning after a glorious shower. I have a bit of swelling below the incision line and in the mons area where the drains were taken out, but it's going down daily. No "swell hell" that I've read about, so I am very grateful. Normal swelling expected with recovery and increased activity. My tape blister is scabbing up nicely!
All in all, not too bad for an old gal! I'm very happy and see progress everyday.
