Initially I was motivated by my herniated belly button and separated muscles after 3 pregnancies and sought out a referral from my long trusted Family Doctor. Since OHIP (our health plan) covers part of the surgery due to the hernia, I moved forward to have a general surgeon & plastic surgeon fix it. That is where Dr Rodger Shortt came in.

Rodger Shortt was an artist in the true sense. My belly button and stomach looks BETTER than it EVER did. Dr Shortt strives for perfection! Even when the scar wasn't to his liking (although I didn't know any difference) he booked his own O.R. time and at almost no charge, revised the incision and kept a close eye on it. For the first time in almost 17 years, I can wear a bikini this summer and be proud. Thank you Dr Shortt for your dedication and persistence in perfection. I knew I was in good hands when all of the nurses in the hospital sang praises about you and Dr Kealey (general surgeon).
