“Finally Going to Take the Plunge!!! - New York”
Spent: $9,000 in New York
Hello everyone! I'm 31 years old, 4'-11" and 117 pounds. I have two beauties ages 7 and 3. As much as I love my princesses, they left me with a sagging waterbed belly. I've wanted to have an Abdominoplasty since my first born arrived and now I can finally say the that my dream will soon become a reality!!!I'm scheduled for my TT surgery on March 2, 2012. I'm very excited!!! I'm also excited to be able to speak to other gals about my procedure without having to worry about boring anyone. I'm sure the hubby and family members are excited that I found this site as well lol!!! I wish all of the gals who will be having surgery the best of luck and those who've already had their surgeries, I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Hello Ladies! I had my pre-op appt yesterday and was given all my prescriptions and all the do's and dont's pre and post op. Although all of my questions were answered, I wasn't quite happy with how it went. I felt I got a lot of yes, no answers to my questions, since he really didn't go into detail. I was a little annoyed by that. Anyway, I've been on an emotional roller coaster ride. I go from feeling happy and excited, to feeling nervous, anxious and guilty about spending all of this $$ on myself. I can't wait until this is all over with not just because I no longer wanna be congratulated on being pregnant :-/, but because I wanna feel like myself again. Only 12 more days left and I'll be on the flat side woohooo!!! Good luck to everyone who will be having their surgeries soon and good luck to those who are still healing.
Talk to you guys soon :)

Hello ladies!
Tomorrow's the big day for me!!!! I'm very excited and terrified @ the same time. I've been up since 7am finishing up some last minute things. I hope I don't forget anything cuz I really don't want the hubs to have to run around like a chicken with it's head cut off lol. He's great! I love him :) Anyway, I can't wait until I'm on the other side. I will try to upload some b4 pics (Beware) lol

Hello ladies!!!
I'm home! Everything went well. I'm terrified to get up, sit down etc. I just took a Vicodin, so as I'm writing, my eyes are closing. Hope to hear from everyone else who went in today.

Hello ladies! I just came from my post-op appt. Everything's looking a ok!!!!
I must say that getting in and out of my husband's truck was horrible!!!! I was in sooo much pain after trying to get in & out of that truck!!!! Ugggghhhhhh!!!!!! I don't have that much pain when I'm seated, but when it's time for me to walk, omg!!! My back feels like it's on fire because of the Lipo. The Vicodin is not all that great either. I'm sticking to Tylenol extra strength. Anyway, I will upload pics as soon as I can.

Today is post-op day two & I feel horrible!!! I've never been through sooo much pain in my life. I know I started out saying it wasn't that bad, but the last night I couldn't sleep cuz my butt was sooo numb from being in a sitting position. How does everyone else sleep? I do not have a recliner, so I don't have the luxury of being able to sleep in one. I can't wait until this drain is removed & until I can stand straight & shower! My back hurts a lot!!!! I completely stopped taking the Vicodin cuz it was doing me more harm than good. I'm only on Extra Strength Tylenol. I hope I feel better really soon cuz so far this journey has not been a good one. Hope everyone else who went in the same day I did is doing well!!!

Omg!!!! I had the only bad coughing experience. Jesus!!!! Everytime I feel some relief, something else comes up. Thank God for the "How to stop a sneeze" forum because I felt the urge to sneeze last night, but managed to stop it. Anyway, I hope my next update will be a positive one .

I finally had a BM this am as well so things are starting to look up little by little.

Today is post-op day 4 and I'm feeling sooooo much better. I can walk, dress, & clean myself on my own. Its a bit of a challenge, but I've been doing it. The only discomfort I have is (again) the tightness of my tummy. I decided to stay with my moms for a couple of days because things were getting a bit hectic for the hubs. Hopefully, ill be able to go back home for the weekend. My girls have been so helpful! My 7 yr old is constantly rubbing my hair, giving me kisses and wishing me a speedy recovery. My 3 yr old makes sure that I hold her hand before I go anywhere & doesn't wanna leave my sight. I love my girls so much!!!!! Anyway, so far, everything has been going well.

Hello Ladies!!!
Today is post-op day 7 & I'm feeling great!!!! I just got back from the PS's office to remove the drain. HOLY CRAP!!!! It hurt soooooo bad!!!!! I think that has been the most painful experience during this process thus far. I can finally shower though, so that's good!!!! I took some b4 and after pics, but I'm not 100% happy with how things are looking :( I know it's only been 7 days and I'm still swollen, but I was expecting things to look a little better. Time will tell I guess. Hopefully it'll look better as the swelling go's down. Anyway, I'll upload the pics as soon as I can.

Hello ladies! Today is post-op day 16, which means I made it to the two week mark yay!!!!! I'm feeling fantastic & I'm able to maneuver around better than last week. I'm still a little hunched over, but trying to work on that. Last week Tuesday I had an appt with the nurse @ my PS's office because she thought I had a seroma. She injected two huge needles into my abdomen to see if any fluid would if come out, but nothing came out but blood. Before she started, she told the hubs to stand behind me for support and told me not to look down. I was so afraid that I began to sweat. Since my tummy's still numb, I felt nothing but a little pinch which wasn't painful @ all (Thank God) Anyway, it turned out to be just swelling. I have an appt this Tuesday to see how the swellings going. I'm dying to be able to do the things I used to do w/out having it take forever. The hubs has been wonderful!!!! He's constantly making sure I'm ok, he helps me out with whatever I need help with and is being very supportive! I love him to pieces :) Anyway, enough blabbering lol. Ill update again on Tuesday : will upload more pics soon.

Hello ladies!!! Today I hit the one month mark and I'm happy to say that I feel awesome. Everything has been going really well. My only complaint is having to be in the dreadful compression garment for another two weeks. So far, I'm happy with my results even though I think I can be flatter, I know there's still a lot more changes that are going to happen in the upcoming months :) I see my PS on the 10th for a lymphatic massage. I've heard that it hurts and feels good @ the same time. I'm looking forward to it. Anyway, so far everything has been going really well and I'm looking forward to seeing more and more transformations as the months go by.

So I'm officially able to burn my CG as of last week. Problem is, I can't seem to leave it off. It's so uncomfortable having it off, but my Ps said if I don't stop using it, I'm going to weaken my muscles. I saw him today and he said everything looks good and that I'm still a bit swollen. He cleared me to do crunches, situps etc woohooo!!!! I get my first massage next week and can't wait. Hopefully the massage will help bring down the rest of the swelling. I will be posting monthly pics, so you guys will see more of them on the second of May.

I've been bummed out cause I have yet to see a flat tummy :( I'm two months post op and it seems like my tummy is getting bigger. I'm really stressed about this because not only did I wait almost 10 years to have this procedure, It was a good chunck of change. I see my Ps tomorrow to find out what's going on. I hope that the plication of the fascia didn't relax or dat the plication didn't tear apart. I've never experienced any pain which will indicate if something did indeed come apart, so I'm hoping it's just subcutaneous fat that can easily be liposuctioned out. I haven't posted any pics because I haven't seen that much of a flat tummy. I will post one day though. I guess I should post the good and the bad so that other women who also feel their aren't as flat don't feel alone on this. I hope everything turns out ok and if I happen to need a revision, I hope it's not anything major cause the thought of having to go through this all over again is causing me to have a lot of stress. Anyway, I hope my next update is a positive one.

Hello ladies!
So, I saw my PS today and he said that everything's fine. My muscle repair has not come undone. Yay!!!!!!! Lol. He said I'm still very swollen and even gave me a prescription to help bring down the swelling. He also said that I have to strenghthen my abs because right now they're weak since I have not had any real ab movement for two months. He said it's like when you break your arm and it's in a cast. Once the cast comes off, the arm is weak and you have to try to strengthen the arm again. I just finished some ab work. I couldn't do a lot because my upper abdomen started to hurt. I'm definitely gonna join a gym with the hubs. I need a partner that's gonna push and motivate me. Anyway, I'll update again soon.

Hello ladies!
I just posted my two month post op TT pics and I'm glad that I can finally say I'm happy. Yes, I'm still swollen especially in the flank area, but that's to be expected. The ab exercises my PS suggested I do have been working. It has helped the swelling come down a lot. So far, I can say that I'm happy with my results and I know that as the months continue to go by, I'll continue to see improvements.

It's pretty normal, I think that's what made my blood preasure go up.
I'm sorry you were disappointed in how the appt. went. I too got yes and no answers but when I asked for more details I got them.
I can relate to you also on the congratulations from people thinking I was prego. Soon no more of that for us!
Our day is fast approaching!!! Hope you're feeling better today.
I guess I should of asked him to go into more detail as well, but I didn't, and @ the end of the day, all of my questions were answered, whether they were detailed or not, so I guess that's all that matters. I'm definitely feeling better and am sooooo looking forward to being able to see my hooha w/out having to lift anything up lol. I can't wait until we're on the flat side. Good luck to us!!!
Hey Bejewelme!!!
I'm also scheduled for 8:00 am and yes these are crazy times and to think that it's not over because once we have our surgeries, the mood swings etc are gonna continue. I will def write everything I can possibly think of down for the morning of and I will tell hubby to listen very carefully @ everything that's said for post operative care, because it'll def suck to not know what to do in the event that something go's wrong (God Forbid). Anyway, I'm looking forward to the recovery period with u gals. Hope we are all as flat as tables when this is all said and done with :)
when you and Bejewelme go in I'll be praying for you girls.
Wow only three days! You're going to do great girl. I'm almost done getting everything I need post-op. I hope I don't forget anything :-/ I will def have u in my prayers Jusi. Good luck and I will be looking forward to your updates!
