Well, it's only been 24-hours, but so far...so good. I had the re:pair for light acne scarring on my cheek, fine lines, and pore size. I'm 36 years old and a fair blonde. I posted a camera phone photo just so you can see the red. The flash is kinda blocking some of it, but it looks like a very bad sun burn!

I was way nervous before the procedure, but it wasn't too bad. They gave me 2 ativans and rubbed a numbing cream into my face. The actual procedure was less then 1/2 hour, and yes it hurts, especially around the hair line where the numbing cream is less. It was like a tattoo kind of pain, but totally doable for 30 mins.

My face is red, read, red and still a little swollen. However, my scarring looks great! So, I'll post more pictures once I heal some more!

Today is day 3 and it looks like it's healing okay. Still red, slight peeling. I do feel like my doctor didn't fully prepare me for the "after." Slight sunburn? Uh, no! You look like a burn patient! Also, my skin feels like sandpaper and it's itchy. I keep layering on the Aquaphor, which helps.

Still kinda undecided if this was worth it. It was a very painful procedure, and my skin issues were slight. I think this is probably a great procedure for those with severe acne scarring. I DO see a difference in the area on my cheek and fine lines.

I'm going to remain undecided until I fully heal.

Absolutely not worth it. It was very painful, and there is not one bit of difference. Nada, nothing...zilch. Not even a wee bit of improvement. I'm not sure if it was my doctor or the procedure, but I'm astounded that I spent 1800...for a facial!

I thought I'd update again. There was literally no difference. None. Not one single softening of line, pore or scar. I wish I would have tried VI peels before spending this kind of money. I've seen these great photos, but maybe it was my skin or the doctor..but I was very disappointed.
Great review?

You didn't get any improvement at all in your scarring? It's so frustrating that nothing seems to help scarring.

Hi, I'm Juhi from New Delhi, India. I would like to know the result of Fraxel on your face, coz I am also considering it as I have severe acne scarring on my face due to which I have to always put on make up when I go out. How much was the cost and would 1 session be sufficient to remove the scars or you would have to undergo some more sessions to completely clear the scars?

I was told that Fraxel RePair was a one-time deal, especially since I had light scarring.

I took 3 sessions of Fraxel ReStore for my face...and it wassss sooooooooo painful....I literally wanted to tear off my skin as it was swollen and burning...I had to take almost 5 days off from work everytime I took the session so my skin could come back to normal...and it took almost 10 days for my skin to become totally normal....anyways, the result?? Same acne scars...no difference at all!!! Wastage of loads of money, time and energy...:(((((((

What is the difference between FX and Smart Dot, is the recovery the same?

The recovery for Fraxel was great, but I'm not sure of Smart Dot. Literally, 3 days later and I looked fine. It heals quickly.
