on sunday a scab came off and i have wound separation now. Has this happened to you? Do you have any tips. My ps says is normal to apply antibiotic cream, that it'll heal on its own.

Hello Yennifer and welcome to Realself, Just wondering if your approval process with Insurance was easy, what documents did you have to submit to prove your case to them?

My ps and his staff are amazing! They put the request in with a letter and pictures of my breast. The first time i got denied but they tried again and i got approved.

Did you do any type of Physical Therapy? What was done differently the 2nd time around? I am in Physical Therapy for a month and then I will need to make the next move to have this covered by my insurance UHC :-)

Nothing was different to my knowledge. I did see a chiropractors for 2 weeks because of back pain. But that was the first time i applied. I'm happy for you. I hope it all works out and you get approved.

Hi Yen. Welcome to RealSelf! Congratulations on your approval. This time will go quickly. Please do not be too nervous. While there is some discomfort, it is certainly not an intese pain. Recovery was not nearly as difficult as I had thought it might be. As for your child, just have some meals made up ahead of time so that it is easy for you to get dinner ready and speak with him/her ahead of time about the fact that you will need your rest and won't be able to pick them up for awhile. I think you will do great. Do you have someone to help at home for the first day or two while you are taking the pain medicine?
I slept in the recliner the first night home and then on the couch. It wasn't as easy to turn over on the couch as it is in my big bed. But a couple of days later I went to my bed and just cacooned myself with pillows on the sides of me and I didn't turn. Even after I started feeling better I would wake up when I tried to roll over. I think your body takes care of itself that way. I eventually got to the point where I could sleep on my side comfortably and then that naturally progressed to going back to my tummy.
Good luck!

yen723 18 Feb 2012
Well its been difficult but my mother and family members havr helped. She understands that i cannot pick her up, but doesn't understand why i can't hug her. I'm hoping to heal soon so i can give her a big hug :)
