Word Scramble!

It was 3-4 WEEKS, not months!

To make a long story short; growing up I was...

To make a long story short; growing up I was constantly bullied for my "man boobs." I would constantly wear heavy jackets to cover up. In doing so, people would always question why I would wear it, even though it was a hot day. During a doctor visit, I asked him about it, and what it might be, and he said the word "gynecomastia" which I had never heard before. I went straight home and searched it. Turns out, It's common among teens and body builders, but I only fit into one category. So I looked up surgeons in my area and I came up with Dr. Cruise' office. My mom and I went into a free consultation, and I can still remember walking in wearing long pants, shirt and jacket. Dr. Cruise greeted us and immediately identified the problem; puffy areola's and fatty tissue behind it. Now that we knew what it was, it was time for the price. Originally, it would've been around $12,000 to do it at a hospital and on strong medication. Since my dad died, my mom had been working hard to make ends meet, and had nowhere near that kind of money. They were able to do it as a in-office procedure for around $9,000, all while on pain reducing medication. In the end, we had to sell one of our cars to make the cut, but it was well worth it in the end. The procedure was extremely painful. I was awake during it, but I couldn't feel much. The only thing that hurt the most was hearing it go on, which was ultimately drowned out by the Netflix they put on for me. After it was done, i saw what they took off. It's crazy to think that i had that much tissue in my breasts. The recovery started, and i wasn't able to take a shower until 4 or 5 months after, so i had to take sponge baths for the time being. Monthly check ups ensured that my recovery was gaining progress, and it was. And now I'm here. almost 2 years have passed and I am loving life. I have done things I would never have done, had i not done the procedure. I'm still a bit chunky, but i can stick my chest out without ever thinking twice about it. I encourage anyone who has this condition, young or old, to widely consider it. Dr. Cruise and his wonderful staff have stayed with us through the entire process, and I am still grateful that i went through it. I wouldn't have been able to do this without my moms support, and Dr. Cruise and his staff. Wonderful people.
