Post Op Update (cont'd)

Sorry guys I accidently clicked submit!!

Anyways, when I first got to shower again (3 days post op) I noticed what looked like an open wound at the end of each of my steri strips (the sterile tape they put over your incisions) I immediately called my PS because I was scared it was my body rejecting the implant, and he had me email pictures and then go in to see him. It turns out that I was having an allergic reaction to the steri strips and when he took them off there were three blisters under the tape on my right breast and two on my left EW. He said its pretty much unheard of for that to happen because they are sterile but my skin might be sensitive. So now that its been a few days the blisters are still there, they are bright red and ready to pop-gross I know. He said to leave them alone and they will heal themselves with no scarring. My incisions & bruising are getting better everyday!

Its true that everyday the healing gets better and better as well as how they look!

Post Op Updates

Starting one day post op I noticed that one of my breasts hurt a lot more than the other. They would switch off one hurting more than the other. I called my doctor and he said it is completely normal.

For the first four days I had to sit and SLEEP sitting completely up. It was so uncomfortable!! I woke up almost every hour from either the tightness in my breasts or my neck/back hurting from such an awkward angle. But by the fifth night I could sleep completely flat and my breasts felt a little tense but nothing even worth mentioning. I slept throughout the night on my fifth night after surgery :) it was AMAZING!

I am currently on my fifth day post op (sixth night since surgery) and my breasts finally feel noticably softer. On the fourth day post op they started feeling softer but everyday they feel more soft. I can completely raise my arms with minimal tightness and they are really starting to feel like apart of my body rather than two huge boulders balancing on my chest.
For the first couple days I was constantly holding them because everytime I'd lean over in the slightest it felt like they would fall right off. But now I hardly notice them!! I'm at the point now where I only take one tylenol before bed so that I don't wake up with morning boob but I always keep tylenol on me just in case. I've been back to work for two days now-surgery was monday morning and I went back to work friday- and the only hard part about being back to work is that my back will hurt because it is not used to holding up large breasts while I'm on my feet for 8 hour shifts.

I really recommend for anyone considering not taking pain killers, just stick to extra strength tylenol!! This procedure is not as painful as most people make it out to me.
Really I barely felt any pain what so ever. I just felt extreme tightness like my boobs were going to burst open and some soreness like you worked out your chest. It is totally manageable!! I took 2 extra strength tylenol every 4 hours for the first three days and after that I only took it maybe once or twice a day. And the reason I say tylenol is because you cannot take ibuprophen or motrin or anything BUT tylenol for the first week, unless perscribed.

When I got to take my first shower (three days post op) I noticed what looked like an open wound alm
