I am a 28yr old mother of 2 beautiful kids ages 6 & 2.... I wanted a TT done after my son!... I have always been plus size all my life 13/14, After my son who is now 2 my mid section just stayed big and I have tried to get it down.. But nothing worked for me.

I have been looking for a Dr over a yr now and didn't find any I like! they all treated me like a number!.I was finally going to give up when I came across this site and I was glad I did. I found my Dr right here off "Realself".

I am going under the knife on August 6th after god. I have a pre-op on the 22nd.

Sorry I haven't up date in a while.....I am running around getting everything done for my kids. I had my pre-op on 7/22, got lost in DE but found my way to the center every thing went great my blood pressure was high so my PS ask me to see my primary Dr for him to clear me for surgery. I went to my Primary Dr today and he put me back on my pressure pills twice a day an he clear me for surgery he told me the last blood work I did was Feb and every thing is fine just my cholesterol was a bit high (I love eggs)back then but nothing has change. I am so glad he cleared me it really had me worried that I might have to cancel my surgery. I am going in on Fri at 10am my PS moved It up from 12 noon. I will up date on Sat or Sun depending on how I feel an post my pos-op pic.

Hey everyone...sorry I am now getting around to up date the pass 3 1/2 days was hell....I got up Fri about 4pm. I was alone till Sat when my mom came to get me out the hospital, We are at the hotel now, I couldn't walk at all the hotel give me a wheel chair to get around. The TT it's self doesn't hurt as much as the lipo my body hurts a lot. AT the hospital I blacked out 2 times when the nurses try to wake me for me to walk. I will finish up date later I feel bad and my lap top just wont connect to the WI FI here and I have to use the hotel guess PC.

You will be so glad you did it. I had a full tummy tuck and breast reduction yesterday. I am still in the hospital at the moment because I was sick with nausea and vomiting and of course I also had lots of pain but even then I have no regrets and am so glad I did it. Be sure to read others tips as they will really help you. I made a list of all the tips I read on realself and went out and bought them. Once I get home I know I'll be okay because I have everything I bought waiting for me. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hi Ella,Congradulations on your upcoming Tummy Tuck!! I had a full tummy tuck (no lipo) on April 15. I'm doing well, and i'm happy I had it done. I see my PS again on July 27. They are going to be taking my after photos on that day! Some days I feel skinny and flat, and other days I feel very fat, because I still have Swelling from time to time, and when I do I wear my compression garment. I took 3 and a half weeks off from work, so make sure you take plenty of time off for your recovery!! I'm still recovering from my surgery, but I feel great! I also had a pain pump, and I hope your DR. does the pump because it's wonderful!! I felt NO PAIN just uncomfortable, and I had PERCOCET pills also. Start taking stool softeners 3 days before your surgery, and keep taking them, because they will help when the time comes. Before they put you to sleep, ask them to give you ZOFRAN before you wake up so you wont have issues with nausea & vomiting!! It helped me bigtime... I had NONE of those issues at all. Also, do your best NOT TO SNEEZE at any time afterwards.... It still hurts me if I do. Well, I wish you all the best, and a wonderful recovery when it's your turn on your big day! Please keep us all posted....... Robin

I'm so happy for your upcoming surgery. I too am having my TT soon, July 15th to be exact. I have done so much research and I still am pretty nervous but overall VERY excited! My before pics are exactly like yours and I too have found tremendeous comfort and guidance and I know I made the right choice on having this done for myself. Again I wish you all the best with your surgery and keep us posted :)
ella0401 11 Jul 2010

Hi Ella, I look just like U B4 my TT. Altho I am happy with my result, the pain is very close 2 death. U will experience a pain unlike any pain U will eva experience N Ur life. I thought having a TT was similar 2 having a C-section...WRONG!!!! So Please B prepared. B4 pre-op...buy easy or ready made food. enough for 2 weeks. Make sure U have plenty of water and soda(4 burping, and PLEASE MAKE SURE SUM1 IS AVAILABLE 2 ASSIST U AROUND THE CLOCK! After 2 weeks U will start to feeling much better. I am now N my 3rd week and I'm driving. Not 2 walmart....but maybe walgreen. Still get very exhausted walking a distance. Do Ur breathing treatments and LOL...wear that garment! Disregard my previous post on that hideous garment....LOL. Take Care and God Speed 2 a Healthy Recovery!!!! Ur Gonna B Sooo glad U did it....thats like sooooo wassup!!!
ella0401 12 Jul 2010
Lol...now you got me a bit worry...lol I thought after having 2 c-sections it wont be to bad but I live in New York an I'm ding it in DE I'm staying a week in a hotel before I come back home my mother will be there with me. So after god things will be ok not to bad.
Robin 1953 12 Jul 2010
Just get the pain pump and percocet from your doctor, and you will be fine!! I had NO PAIN, and also remember everyone heals differently. PLEASE DON'T WORRY and JUST BE HAPPY about your upcoming big day!!!!!! Robin
ella0401 13 Jul 2010
I write It down so when I go for my pre-op I will ask him about it I am trying not to worry to much.
brittany88 12 Jul 2010
I'm so excited for you!! I was a size 12/13 before surgery too. The TT is one fo the best things you can ever do for yourself. I'm so happy I did mine. The pain for me wasn't bad at all. I was uncomfortable but that was it. As long as I stand on top of my pain meds everything was fine. You are going to look awesome! Good luck and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask! :)
ella0401 12 Jul 2010
Thanks my dear I am so ready for this i want this belly gone for good! I miss wearing my sexy cloths...lol everything I shop for now has to be big and long enough to cover the belly. I can't wait. I will keep you posted and I say your pic's u look amazing!.
brittany88 12 Jul 2010
Thanks! :) I am really happy with my results. I totally understand the shopping for long shirts and I always had to look for pants that would minimize that flap of skin I had in my lap too. I was able to wear smaller jeans at 4 weeks but don't buy anything then. I did and 2 weeks later I was an even smaller size! LOL! The swelling really messes with your pant size for a while.
ella0401 13 Jul 2010
Thanks for the shopping tip..lol I just can't wait to go shopping I love to shop!!.
sn315on 12 Jul 2010
That's so exciting! I'm sure you will do fine and I will want to read all about it! I go for mine August 12th. If you have done c-sections, this is different, as you have stomach muscles, not the reverse. My doc told me that it will be easier and everyone is so different with healing and pain tolerance. :) Good luck!!
ella0401 12 Jul 2010
Yes I had 2 c-sections and I really thought It wasn't that bad doing the surgery because with my c-sections I was walking great in a week and back to normal after two weeks the only thing that bugs me up today is the cut it self is still tender and it's been 2year now but, I was a smoker and I found out that had a big part to play with my healing...I'm so glad I stop!...I'll keep you posted on my trip to a flat belly..lol and good luck to you as well!!!.
