Hi Ladies, Went to see the nurse today to get belly button stitiches removed etc and I have a bit of infection around the vertical part of my scar :) hopefully it clears up quickly with the antibiotic ointment. Other than that all going really well. Have been resting heaps and taking things easy. Went for my first walk yesterday up to the local mall with my lovely son for lunch :) only 15 mins each way was nice to get out. Am aloud to start driving again this week YAY will be awesome to get my independence back.
Have been so pleased with how this has all gone and looking forward to see what the next few weeks/months have to offer. We are planning on taking our boys to America for the 10th birthday in September, am so excitied about how I will look and feel then :) will really be able to enjoy a holiday without worrying what I look like in a swim suit etc

Went for my first post op appointment today and the surgeon is amazed at how well I am going and how good and pain free I feel :)
They took all the dressings off and I got to see my new belly button for the first time, am very happy. Can have my first shower tonight, really looking forward to that, going to drain the hot water tank I think lol.
Will go back on Monday to get belly button stitches removed.
I am aloud to start going for walks, but NO gym till I see him again in 3 weeks boo hoo!!!! Best I behave ;)

Thanks Hun, just back from first post op appointment. Went really well every thing looking great, I will post photos soon. Surgeon says I am not normal lol as in feeling fine, keen to get out walking etc. He said I need to keep taking it easy but have been is really impressed with how well things have gone. Fingers crossed it continues. Hope everyday is getting better or you xx

Thanks :)breathing fine, was just the one day, strange. Feeling really good, much better than I ever expected after a week :) fingers crossed it stays that way

Thank you, I am thrilled. Hard to believe I don't have that horrible scared mess of a stomach anymore. Will take a bit of getting used too :)

Feeling pretty blah today!! lots of visitors yesterday and didin't sleep so well and have weird breathing thing going on?? Feel like I need to keep taking really deep breaths to get enough air, also pain meds and antibiotics etc making me feel sick :( getting around ok tho and tummy not very sore more numb lol
Cant have a shower and hair feels disgusting!! friend bringing me some dry shampoo today. well I think I will go and have a sponge bath and go back to bed :)
