14 dpo: I'm 14 days out now. I'm still walking...

WORTH IT$16,000
14 dpo: I'm 14 days out now. I'm still walking kind of hunched but it's getting better. I feel like I'm becoming too attached to my binder. Whenever I take it off I feel so naked, lol. Recovery has been pretty good. I'm still not lifting my 10 month old and it really sucks but I knew what I was getting myself into. I've taken new pics and I still look the same, if not more swollen. I'm patiently waiting for my body to heel. I'm going to see my ps tomorrow for another post op check. I'll keep you guys posted. Check out my pics and tell me what you think.

You are looking great, even with the swelling! My lower stomach is the worst too, you can see in my side pic how it poofs out. This is a long recovery and I know it's hard to be patient, I am the same way. lol
Yes, I see a huge difference, but I hate how the swelling looks. Oh well, time heals all wounds.
Wow! You look great in clothes! Do you still have to wear your compression garment?
Yes my dr said that I need to wear it at all times. He said usually at two weeks he tells is patients to go on to spanx. I am going to see him today. Lets see what he says. I think I kind of look a little pregnant with the clothes on , the swelling is horrible.
Happymommy let me know what ur Dr says about switching to spanx I can't wait to switch to that...... Yes swelling is a pain in the ass my swelling is not my tummy but yet my thighs..... Hate it!!!! U look good..... It will go down soon
You look great! Swelling will subside and you'll feel better soon. At 2 wks I switched to a cg. Was that an option? I think it helped....
Well I'm wearing a cg since I came out of surgery. I think my dr will have me move on to spanx. I'm seeing him today. I can't wait for recovery to be over, I'm so impatient.
I know... it sucks! I think I was even wrong when I wrote that... I was in a binder until drains out which was 1 1/2 weeks or so and then spanx since (well actually the VS version which I think is better...). Yesterday I went to my 4 week appt and was told I don't need anything if I don't want! I slept without anything and was SO happy. I feel more comfortable with the spanx during the day though... progress. It will be a distant memory soon!
I meant binder til 1 1/2 weeks, CG until 3 wks or so and then spanx
Thank you for sharing your journey... I have my TT scheduled for April 9. I have already been so up and down. There's times I think I've lost my mind then I'm super excited. I just hope the swelling goes down soon for you. I will continue to follow your journey until mine own begins.
I know this journey is a roller coaster but honestly even though I'm swollen I can't say I regret my decision. Don't worry, you will look great in the end of it all. I'm so excited for you. You will be swimsuit ready in no time!!!!!
I think you are looking great!
Thank you!!!!

Pod 10 I probably over did it this weekend. I went to a birthday party Friday night and then another one on Saturday night. It really wore me out. I've had people come visit me and I've just been falling asleep on them. So funny. Anyway with my clothes on I look pregnant. I'm extremely swollen on the bottom part of my belly. I hope it's going to go down. I'm flipping out about this because it wasn't like that before surgery. I know I just have to be positive!!!!! Take a look at the pics and let me know what u think.

I also just wanted to mention that my stomach...

I also just wanted to mention that my stomach feels soooo weird. In some places I can feel it and in some places I can't. I didn't expect that. And also I get full really fast, which is a good thing, but I can't really eat like I use to. When I'm standing for long periods of time I feel like my stomach gets more swollen and I become more hunched over. When will I be able to stand straight again. All this combined makes me feel weird. I can't even imagine what having sex would feel like with my husband touching my new tummy. I hope it doesn't freak me out. What did I get myself into????? Lol, I hope it's all worth it in the end and everything I'm feeling is temporary.

How are you feeling? How's everything going?
I've been very tired because I really over did it this weekend but still so swollen. It gets really uncomfortable when standing for long periods of time. Otherwise, relaxing. Your date is coming up soon, r u excited?
Yes!!! I can't wait!!!!! I'm starting to get over my fear and just focusing on how awesome it will be to have a flat stomach and finally be able to wear normal clothes!! I can't wait to go shopping!! I told my husband I want to go to the mall and he has to wheel me around in a wheel chair. Lol
Yes, it's a great feeling to not care about your flaws!!!!!
You need to wear you CG at all times, that will help the swelling, plus you are too early to expect to look normal, give yourself at least six months for the swelling to be gone completely is discouraging but is the reality don't over do stuff because that's how people get complicated with the surgery, relax and take it easy otherwise you will regret it if anything goes wrong....
I wore spanx when I went out and i think it's even tighter than the cg. Yes you are right I will take it easier. Thanks.
Happymommy were u got ur spanx? Is it a one piece ?
I got it at century 21 it's an underwear that goes all the way up your stomach. It's actually tighter than my binder. It doesn't cover the breasts.
Thanx.....I have to check up on that I want to buy 2 before going back to work.
It will be ok, I think swelling at this point is normal for most of us! Look at my first pictures, huge difference after a few weeks. Relax and slow down, spring will be here soon and you will have transformed.
Yes, I saw your pics and you are looking great. I guess sometimes we are our own worse critics. I can't wait to be myself again.
How are you feeling??
I'm good, slowly getting into the groove of things. Honestly I just want this recovery to be over. I have so much to do and clean, it's never ending. I feel like I'm wasting my time lounging around. I'll be alone for two hours with my 10 month old. I guess we'll see how that works out, lol. How r u? Excited, in a blink of an eye your day will come. Time flies way too fast.
I'm just expecting the worst (pain wise) and expecting my house to be a total disaster for atleast 6 weeks. Lol Your only 12 days po right? I would just take it easy! It's good to know you feel we'll enough to even want to do anything. I thought I would be on my death bed for atleast 2 weeks after surgery. Lol
Trust me, it's not that bad. The pain wasn't bad for me at all. I've said before the pain from gallbladder surgery was worse. Just be prepared to feel a little weird after surgery. Your nerves on your stomach will be out of whack so it just feels weird. Stay on top of your meds, don't cough and make sure you don't get constipated. Those are the three things that I feel are important in order to get through this. Feel free to ask me anything!!!
Hi,Erin girl go for it u won't regret!
