Hi All I just want to say this website has been the greatest resource for my upcoming surgery. I am scheduled for a TT, MR LIPO of the Flanks and a BA with Silicone Mod profile implants in 2 weeks. Super nervous. Stats 35 y/o with 3 children 16yr, 7 yr and 3yr. 5'6 135 pounds the pooch is just been driving me crazy for the last 3 years after my dd. currently a A cup and would like to be a full C.

Family less supportive than i would hope for so i have just stopped discussing it. hubby is terrified and is terrifying me, smh My GF just had a smart lipo job in November and she looks absolutely fab so shes my encouragement. Her BA is scheduled for March so we are in this together. I work on a desk job so i am hoping the 3 weeks i took off is more than enough time to gt back to work. So scared of the pain.

Going for pre op on the 9th, hoping i can get a pain pump. I went totally natural with al 3 of my kids so i think my tolorence for pain is ok, but this just seems like a different kind of pain. My dr was recommended by my sister n law he did her BA and she looks awesome. only complaint she had is that she wishes she went bigger, lol.

I have horrible anxiety issues and they are setting in, now.. its less than 2 weeks away. I am makin gup all kind of problems and sicknesses in my mind now that i've never had b4. I feel like im have breathing issues, lol I made an appt with my primamry to check me out again b4 the surgery just to be safe. i dont smoke never have and am a healthy woman. i have never had any issues, but the surgery is putting all these issues into my head.

Im going to rent a recliner for recovery and my sister is going to help me out for the 1st 5 days until i can get around on my own then my husband can take it fr there. He's very queezy and not built for this type of stuff. This upcoming weekend i will order all of my supplies needed for recovery. I hope i am making the best decision to do both @ the same time.. It seems like so much now that its getting closer.

Ladies I'm recovering well 1 day post op

Updated on 29 Jan 2012:
11 days out of surgery and feeling well. Only problem is the back pain. Stomach is fine swollen but fine. Dr kep my belly button, anyone else have this? I've been sleeping in the bed for the last two nights as I couldn't take the recliner for another second. I've been standing straight for at lease 2 days now. Boobs still feel heavy is this normal. I went bra shopping today and fit a 34 C how happy I am. I don't think this was the worst pain ever in my opinion, I went in expecting a lot worse. Happy I did this for myself. It was worth every dime , lol

I'm sorry you're having so much anxiety about this. Maybe you could discuss that with your doctor and see if there's something he or she could give you to help you out.

Three weeks before returning to a desk job sounds reasonable. From what I've heard, it is a different sort of pain than childbirth, but I think it's more soreness and less cramping/ripping/tearing, if you know what I mean. :0) You can do this!

We'd love to know who your surgeon is. And please keep us posted on how you're feeling as your big day gets closer.

Deep breaths!

Thank you for the warm welcome Angiemcc!

12 Days and counting. Im going to rent my recliner this weekend and set up shop in a room in the house where the kids dont frequent.

I just found out another friend of mine is scheduled for the day after me. She's much more clam about everything so hopefully she can take me thru the next week and a half and keep me SANE! I have a pair of comfy jammies to wear to the op and i will just put a heavey sweatshirt over. Its feels so much better talking about this here:)

Isn't it exciting! I so can not wait till my day comes which is on the 19th. Stay calm, it'll be just fine. Good Luck and keep us posted.
Angela R 7 Jan 2012
Elle..Stay calm! Everything is going to be fine! The worst part are the days leading up to it! The actual surgery is not bad at all!! We are the same height and weight, and I too have some anxiety issues! You remind me of myself! Take a look at my pics..I am only three weeks out and I am feeling great! You should post some before pics too! Feel free to ask me any questions at all.. you will be fine! You deserve this... stay positive!

I have the same story. My family isn't behind me either. I am one day ahead of u. Mine is on the 17th. I am holding fast to my "why" for doing this and none of my why includes for anyones approval except my own. I just try to remember that they love me and want the best foe me....but its still hard.

Very exciting, elleNY! As Angela R said, the pre op anxiety is worse than the surgery. Stay focused on the positive. From reading your review it sounds like you'll have everything covered! I'm now 4 days post op and I could totally see going back to a desk job at 3 weeks. Your sister helping you for the first 5 days is fabulous - by day 6 you'll be moving around much easier and could probably empty your own drain(s) (my husband gets queasy easily, too:). Durham's advise is good: you are doing it for YOUR approval and once you are through the surgery OK I'll bet support from hubbs will come. Mine was VERY worried and is much better now than I thought he would be. So happy for you that you have a date and it is coming soon!

Thank u ladies for all the support. Your kind words are all very helpful. Durham9717 I am sending prayers your way for tomorrow. I am feeling much better about everything, i have company over for the weekend and it kept my mind off of things. I just want Wednesday to come and go now...

So i went back for pre op appt with my doctor to go over everything, im going with 375 cc silicone moderate profile, periareola incision. my scripts have been filled and i met with my primary care in regards all the made up issues i was having. I hear alot of you say u were scripted percocet. My dr scripted me vicodin. is this normal as well?? I have muscle relaxers, zofran for nausea and keflex anti biotics..i had a whole slew of test run and guess what. Im fine, lol.. ANXIETY is a muther!!! I have to work tomorrow and then the big day is Wed. Im feeling like i should do my hair b4 then since i wont be able to wash it for a few days. What stool softener do you ladies recommend? And what are the anti bruising and swelling meds and where can i get them?
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 16 Jan 2012
Elle - I've read some gals are scripted percocet, and some are scripted vicoden...depends on the preference of the doc. I had Keflex antibiotics, too. Just make sure you are taking the pain meds and antibiotics with at least a little bit of food - I was nauseous if I didn't. I made sure to have "Muscle Milk" (Costco) on hand for something quick and easy in my stomach at meds time. You could get Ensure or some other protein drink...protein is awesome for the muscle repair healing. I just take a generic stool softener - exact same active ingredient as Colace (got mine at Costco-Kirkland brand). A must from day 1! I take one in the morn and one in the eveing. I also picked up an herbal tea called "Smooth Moves" (hubbs found it at Meijer here in Toledo) which helps get things "moving." :)

The bruising/swelling meds are: Bromelain (these are large pills you swallow; 500mg 3x daily) and Arnica 30x (these are tasteless tablets that dissolve under your tongue; 2 tablets 4x daily). I bought mine at GNC and I know Vitamin Shoppe carried them as well.

Glad your pre-op appt went well! Almost there!
Angela R 16 Jan 2012
Good luck on Wednesday..Everything will be perfect! I was scripted percocet too! It was fine but make sure you take a stool softener!!!! I took colace but it did not touch me. I recommend milk of magnesia..the higest dose you can take. But wait until after your surgery to start taking it. We will be thinking of you!

Good luck! Relax you will do fine. With 3 children all natural you are a trooper. You may not need vicodin or percocet! : ) we will be waiting to her about your experience and see pics! You and the docs are in my prayers.

I'm done ladies and feeling well. Yesterday was hard but today much better. My boobs look gorg but not as big as i wouldve liked. I went with 375 cc but I look like a B cup. Stomach is tight and I'm really sleepy still. I haven't seen it yet but the nurse told me I will be extremely happy
I will update more tomorrow .. Btw this recliner rocks
Durham9717 19 Jan 2012

Hi ladies
Back to the land of the living and feeling good! 8 days po. I had my drain removed on day 5 I was prepared for the worst but it wasn't that bad. I'm off pain mess since day 4 and doc said everything is looking good...
MaumeeMG (RealFriend) 26 Jan 2012
Good to hear, Elle!! I felt like a new woman when my drain was removed (day 8) and I had my first shower (day 9)! I'd love to see post op pics when you have a chance. :-)
SassyMomma (RealFriend) 27 Jan 2012
I loved my recliner. Don't worry abt the boobs not looking big. Once the drop, and you start going out to purchase bras. You will realize hoe big they are. And when your tummy swelling goes down they will look perfect!
elleNY 29 Jan 2012
1st day out and about and feeling pretty good went to the mall. 34C it's so pretty. I'm really happy with the results so far. I am experiencing discomfort due to back pain. dr said it spasms so he prescribed me more muscle relaxers. They have helped out tremendously. Dr kept my belly button which was good so I didn't have to worry about that healing. I go for follow up to tomorrow. I'm pretty sure stitches will be removed.
