Sorry I haven't updated in a while! Added a couple of pics!

Hi everyone, I know I haven't updated in a while. I'm 10 weeks post op and doing well. As for my tummy tuck scar, the only thing that I've been using is the neosporine & rosa mosqueta oil up until week 8. Now I've been using Merderma. I'm thinking of using this concoction I saw someone use on YouTube that consists of Raw Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Almond oil, Castor oil, & I think Vitamin E oil. After being mixed together it's a nice paste that's massaged onto the scar. I still have swelling that I'm not that much concerned about since it's not unusually to still be swollen and also because I put my body through major surgery. I'm thinking of getting a 3rd garment since I can stand to get a smaller size but my 3 months of wearing a garment is almost up in 2 weeks. My guess is to go ahead and get another garment since I think it'll be times where I'd want to put one on even after the 3 months, or maybe even a spanx. I haven't started exercising but I've noticed others that's around the same time as I post op have started so I'll start slow and gradually do more. I also haven't been eating solely healthy meals which I've been changing because I Do Not want my stomach to go back to where it was before. I've noticed that I can't eat as much as I used to before which is good. So that's it for now!

Husband took my drain out!

So I could've taken my drain out a couple of days ago but I was really scared of the excruciating pain that some people described it as when taking it out. When I tell you that I didn't feel a thing, I didn't feel a thing. I should've known because Virginia would tell us not to pay someone $50-60 to take it out because we could do it ourselves. I'm glad I listen. My husband cut the stitch and started to pull the tube out slowly. Before I knew it, it was out. But, my drain was located on the side in my incision. Some people have their drain around the pubic area, so maybe it hurts more in that spot, idk.

On my last review I forgot to mention that when booking your trip, make sure your trip is for a total of 12 days. I made the mistake of booking my trip for 10 days. The first 2 nights at the clinic is already included and has nothing to do with the days at the recovery house. A few of the girls at my recovery house had done the same thing as I did. So in reality I stayed at the recovery house for only 8 days but paid for 10. You will not get a refund for the remaining days according to Laura. She said its normal to stay for that amount of days anyway.

A lil about what happened after surgery!

So since I said all the good things that happened with my experience, I'll also talk about the other things since I would want to read honest reviews also.

My friend & I's experience at the clinic was great. There was someone always coming in to check on us. I actually got tired of them coming in because they were disturbing my sleep. Anyway, that wasn't the case for others, maybe it was the nurses on that day, or the floor they were on, idk.

One thing I noticed is that the clinic doesn't have enough rooms for all the people that come to get procedures done. I've heard of some people going to a hotel. That just won't cut it for me unless they are paying for it. If I booked a procedure, u better have a room for me.

Another thing is the garments, either people had the wrong size or they didn't have one at all. I personally had on a large when I was supposed to be in a small. It seems as tho that's what they had left. If you have many people coming in for procedures, the least u can do is have enough garments for the patients. When I went in for my checkup they had no problem with changing my garment for a small. Make sure you are going home with the right size garment because it is $150 that's included in your quote. If they hadn't had my size I would've made sure they gave me my $150 back because that means I would've had to buy a new one that fits.

Another thing that happened was Laura was ignoring people's calls & texts. Meanwhile Robles knew none of this. One day while at the recovery house my friend & I waited around because we were told that we were going to get a check up with Robles but no one showed up to get us. Laura never answered the text asking what was going on. By the next day everyone in the recovery house was pissed because their texts & calls were ignored also, some cursed her out and that's when she would answer. Meanwhile before she took anyone's money no one had a problem with getting in contact with her. Everyone did speak to Robles about what was going on and Robles was pissed, she had no idea so please don't base whether you're going to robles on Laura's actions. Robles does great work.

I loved Virginia's Recovery House, Virginia is great. I also loved the group of girls that were there. I will really miss them but I'm glad to be home. I also honestly only like the cook that's there during the week. The food was delicious. I wish I could've brought her home with me lol.

I almost forgot, do not, I repeat do not think you are coming home with a completely flat belly or with your body at your usual size. You may come home bigger than when you came. Your body went through surgery so you will be swollen. My swelling didn't go down until the next day after I got home. Everything was swollen, my butt, legs, & feet was huge. I didn't mind my butt tho lol, but now I'm at my usual size.

Also, with Robles you will most likely go home with your drains if you are under 10 days post op. She is a very strict doctor so she will not take a chance. I'm getting mine taken out today and I'm petrified of the pain. Some say it doesn't hurt and others say it does. I'm definately taking it out because it's barely anything in my drain at this point.

Anyway, plz don't pack all of that bio oil, merderma and all those other things. You will not need it at this point. What you will need is Rosa Mosqueta oil and Arnica gel. Buy the mosqueta oil on amazon or at the vitamin shoppe because it would be around $10, but $40 if u buy it at the clinic. They will also sell you Lioton which is good and only $10 in DR. I used that as well as the arnica gel.
