So for about 2 weeks I've been lurking on this site and boy, what informative info I've received by reading you guys stories! Anyway, I'm looking into getting a tummy tuck, full back lipo, as well as some fat grafting to the buttocks. The doctor I was looking into was Dr Yager because I love the way he performed a tummy tuck on a friend of mine, plus you guys have great reviews of him. I also have a consultation with another DR named Schulman on 1/22. I thought to myself great, so it'll be between Yager & Schulman...NOW I've been thinking that I might want to go to DR smh. The DR's I've been researching in DR were Yily, Duran, & Robles. I'm not sure about Yily anymore after I've read about patients contracting infections after having a procedure done with her. I'm confused on whether I wanna have my procedure done here in the states or go to DR. I have a friend that also wants these procedures done so I may have a buddy if she goes through with getting the procedures. I'm trying to think of the pros & cons of going to DR as opposed to staying here in the states. I know that when something as drastic as having surgery is concerned, it's not all about the $$, but if I can achieve the same results and pay maybe a third of what they charge here in the states, then why not. The good thing about the states is that I'll be close to my surgeon as well as my private DR, and Yager has an opening for the ending of this month to do the procedure. Who knows how long I'll have to wait if I go to DR...decisions, decisions

Can't wait to get rid of this!

Added my pics! New body here I come. My children were worth it though. After my first child that I had naturally, I bounced back! No stretch marks, I was back to wearing cropped tops and everything. After the second child which was a C- Section, that was a different story. A lot of people tell me I can just work out, but my pouch from having my c-section isn't going anywhere. I've tried to get rid of it but to no avail

Ba bye c - section pouch! Yeah they don't go away no matter what exercise. Thanks for sharing! You have a great foundation to work with!

Good luck!! I lost 80 lbs after my 3rd child through working out & eating right and I still had a belly ( loose skin). So that's what I tell the naysayers that think working out can take care of that.

Thanks! And yes working out does nothing for that pouch lol. Usually it's the people that never had a c-section that says just work out. Btw, you look great! Congratulations

I can see your going to look great. Good luck

It's a long process when your in the beginning stages going from consultation to consultation. You look great already and appear to have really good skin, I would like to encourage you to weigh your odds and make the right decision for you and your family. I am a New Yorker who migrated to S. FL and I will tell you there are so many surgeons to choose from here so I can only image what you maybe going through in NY trying to find the right one for you. The DR thing was always a little scary to me b/c once the surgeons are done with your procedure you go to a recovery house for sometime and thereafter your left to "fend" for yourself and the problematic thing is no surgeon in the States wants to be liable for any other surgeons work, home or abroad. If you get sick or there is some issue you have to depend on ER doctors..never know what you'll get. Regardless of how much you're paying for your procedure you owe it to yourself to get the best care and some of these DR are having patients extract extra fluid that builds up in your tummy and other things that should only be reserved for a medical professional. Surgery is serious and I believe even if you pay a little more to get the results you want its better to be safe than sorry. Many blessings to you my RS Sistah.

Thanks! I totally agree with what you're saying, especially that no surgeon wants to be liable for another surgeon's work. The pros of saying here in the states definitely out weights going to another country. BTW, I know you're excited about your upcoming procedure. Good luck & blessings to you. I will be following your journey

Aww! Thanks : ) in box me if you have any questions...I've been looking in to it for 12 yrs and my Hubby got tired of hearing about it and encouraged me to move forward. Looking forward to following your journey!

My two cents....I'm 51 and my second child was c-section, 27 years ago...NO the flap won't go away on its own! Go for it. It's your life and your bod. Best wishes and keep us posted.

Thank you! I'm excited to finally go for it. I've been wanting this for years now.

Received a quote from Duran. I emailed her about 9:30 Sunday night and within a half an hour she emailed me back. To cut the time of emailing back & forth inquiring about a consultation, on my first email to her I sent pictures, and some info such as weight, height, etc. and she got right back to me and quoted me $4700 for tt, lipo of full back, & Bbl. I also emailed Robles 2 days ago and received an email (I think it's an automated email) asking for pics & info. So I'm still waiting for a quote. I do like that along with the email she sent me, well actually from Laura (I guess her assistant) she also sent a plastic surgery guide which goes into details about what to do 1 month prior to surgery, 2 weeks prior, as well as the night before. If anyone wants me to snap shot a pic of that email and upload it I will. From that email I've learned that I should be taking iron, folic acid, complex B, and vitamin C a month prior to surgery. I started taking them already even tho I don't know what surgeon I'm going with, either way I want to be ready lol. I went to my local pharmacy and good thing they had all vitamins on sale buy 1, get one free. So I got all 4 of those vitamins for the price of about $19. Anyway, I still have my consultation with Dr. Schulman on the 22nd, and I already did my consultation with Yager who quoted me $7,500 for the tt, and has an opening for surgery starting the end of this month.

Good luck with your decision making, its never an easy one. Dr. Yager performed my surgery 9/20 so Im 4months post and I could not be happier - but since you also want other components with your TT you need to do what's best for you. Glad you are doing your research and preparing for surgery - that's the right way to do it. It is a major event both $$ and health and emotions. This site is definitely such a resource.
