I had my TT Thursday ( 3 days ago) to remove loose skin. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. With my first child I had no loose skin at all but I gained a whole lot with my 2nd and carried it all in my tummy. It was a hard decision because in clothes my tummy looked pretty flat but naked this skin under my belly button was loose and wrinkly. I have always been fit and knew I would always be unhappy about that part of my body so I decided to go for it.

April 4th: Day of surgery, got home about noon and just layed down the while day. I had a catheter to I didn't have to get up to urinate which was so nice. I didn't get a pain pump b/c I consider myself as someone with a high pain tolerance but I must admit this hurts more then I expected. Also I vomited 4 times! Let me tell you It killed my tummy when I threw up, it was all liquid cause I couldn't eat anything all day.
April 5th: I had help with my kids and my mom stayed home with me all day. If i'm laying down in a reclining position I feel fine but I try to get out of bed OMG I feel like my whole body has been run over my a truck. It HURTS! I got my appetite back and at quite a bit. I went for high fiber food since your stool get's hard when you had pain meds.

April 7th: today is the 4th day since surgery and it's the first day I felt a little better. still very much uncomfortable and majorly relaying on my pain medication. I went to see the Dr today to remove the bandages, and OMG my tummy looked bigger then ever before, he said because it's so swollen. I must say it didnt' look pretty at all and my belly button looked freaky. He put a compression garment on me and it's very soft and not uncomfortable. He said I will get the tubes removed Mon or Tuesday. I also took a shower for the 1st time , it felt normal but again tummy is not cute. really swollen and weird looking. I know It will come around. I hear this is normal. just got to be patient. I will post pictures once I hit 1 or 2 weeks.

April 9th So yesterday I stopped taking Percocet's b/c it was making me constipated so I switched to Tylenol extra strength. However I did take a Valium and Percocet right before bed so I could sleep well and it worked! I'm still hunched over but the pain is less. What Im waiting for now is to get these annoying drains removed which I'm thinking it will be by the end of the week.

April 17th: So tomorrow will be 2 weeks. I got my drains removed Monday, I could've had then removed Sat because my numbers were so low but I didn't notice until Friday and couldn't make it to the doctors. I'm feeling a little down about the whole thing because i feel like it opted for a huge scar to remove just a bit of loose skin and right now it looks awful, swollen, bruised and scarred. I know i need to be patient tho. Also my belly button looks freaky still, just weird but the Dr said once the swelling goes down it will look normal. I guess i didn't know that it takes months to see final results of a TT. I will try to post another pic in a week or 2. As far as pain still uncomfortable but not bad. I would say the first 3-4 days are pretty rough but after that it's just uncomfortable, also i still can't walk straight but my days since day 4 have been very active, lots of walking, going to the mall, etc.

April 23rd: Today has been 2 1/2 weeks and my first day at the gym. My dr told me Friday that I can start to go and do light activity. I did 20 mins slowly on the elliptical and some lighter arm weights. I also weighted myself for the first time and I didn't lose a single pound. Like I mentioned before mine was loose skin but I still thought I would lose 1-2 pounds. Also feeling SO swollen and tummy still looks awful. I have to get rid of the bikini I have on in this pic b/c it shows my scar around my hip. I used to wear them SO low, lol. Im trying not to think about it much and be patient cause that's all I can do!

1 Month: I month yesterday. I'm still wearing my compression garment 24/7. I have noticed the swelling has gone down a bit but still very swollen. Also my BB still looks odd, it's very oval and unnatural but my Dr. said once my swelling goes down it will settle in nice. I just hope it's not too oval and more rounded.
