Confused on Why or How I Got an Infection That Left Me with a Huge Hole In my Belly - New Orleans, LA

Ok it's been almost six weeks since my infection and me being cut open again I must say I'm doing much better I can say that even though I still have the wound vac on but I can just feel my strenght coming back as before my hold has closed up tremendously and I'm so happy about that I'm going on a vacation trip in about 3 more weeks hoping it be completely close by then but I will have to just wait and see will update pic soon

I had a tummy tuck and lipo done about 3weeks ago and it took two weeks for the drains to be removed and I also had a black scar almost like a burn that the Dr said he want to watch closely.On the day the drains were removed I ended up with wound vac and a 2" deep 4"long and 4" wide hole not to mention now it seem that a small section near the hold is very soft to touch,as if I poke it,it will burst. I was told the area where the hold is was an Infection and the tissue had died and it all had to be removed to heal I was also told it now seems to be no sign of infection and that the wound vac help the healing process much faster I'm so sad and upset and a strong depression has come on not sure if it was worth it as of yet if this can heal properly and fast I would say it was worth it but as of now feel a Little regret
