Tomorrow is the big day! Can't wait but of course I am nervous!

Well it's been one week since my mini tummy tuck. I actually feel pretty good. Never had any real pain just sore especially from sitting around. Not used to doing that! I'm starting to get itchy and still swollen Can't wait till the drain gets taken out on Wedensday I'll feel like I can move more freely. Scale says I put on 5 pounds I hope not! work to hard to keep in shape...hopefully it's only temporary. Well for anyone wondering if they should do the surgery I say go for it! Can't wait to see the final results

Had my drain taken out today Hurray!! Felt alittle funny. Doc said I'm healing great. Ifeel good but they told me not to overdue it yet. I was wearing my binder too tight thought that was better but I guess not. Love looking down and seeing all that extra skin!

2 weeks post op today. I feel great ran around all day today! doctor appointments, food shopping, laundry, made a nice dinner! Wish I could exercise. Every once in a while I get a little pain which reminds me maybe I'm doing too much. Incision is getting very itchy and I'm getting tired of wearing baggy clothes with this binder but the last 2 weeks have gone so fast so I'm sure before I know it I'll be back in my jeans! So glad I did this

3 weeks post op yesterday! I finally wore a pair of my stretcher jeans. Started walking a mile. today I'm going to go for 2! Funny I have only itchiness by the incision but sometimes I have stabbing pains by my bellybutton... Can't really complain this whole experience has been great. back to most of my normal routines I have to remind myself to be careful Still bothers me to bend down or try and wipe down all the floors ( I'm alittle of a clean freak! lol) Oh well let me get to walking!
Great review?

I had mine in for about 8 or 9 days and thought that was a long time. I think he's doing the right thing because you are still draining so much. I think I was draining 15 to 20 ccs when he took mine out and I thought he was going to keep it in. You don't want the fluid to build up in your belly better that it keeps coming out..I don't think it will be difficult to pull out they cut a stitch or two and pull it out. How are you feeling otherwise?

17 days post op mini tummy tuck and I have still got my drain. Dr will not take out until I have no more than 30 cc in 24 hrs. I am still having 30-40 cc every 24 hrs. My incision healing well, have a dog ear on the left side. Surgeon states will fix doing a local in two weeks when I return. Has anyone kept their drain this long? I am afraid it will be difficult to take out if it stays much longer.

Have you been lifting weights? How is your incision. I am still having some issues with mine. just doesnt want to heal! ugh
readyforchange 3 May 2011
Yes I started lifting weights. CAN'T do any chest exercises. It just feels wierd. I'm wondering if that's just how it's going to feel now. My incision is healing nicely. It is a little sore and has white stitches poking out here and there. I just want to be back to normal too. I still get a little pooch in my lower belly at night. Is it swelling or is it just a permanent pooch. It's not there in the am though. How about you. What issues are you having with your incision?
chloeskye 4 May 2011
It will always feel a little weird in your chest- you just get use to it after a while. The muscle kind of pushes the implant to the side- right? I am jealous about your incision. Mine is sort of a mess. I have been putting peroxide in one spot to try to dry it out. Sucks! i have one spot that keeps on pussing (sorry- dont mean to be gross). It feels like a stitch underneath that just wont come to the surface. Do we have to go back in 3 months? Meaning 6/21? I forgot to ask at the last visit. Let me know.

My next appt is July 6th. He is on vacation the week before that. I used neosporin on my incision from the first time the tape was changed. In fact, I'm still using it under my breasts. About the chest exercising, yes it does feel that way. I was scared I would do some damage to it, but that is how it feels. It feels like the implant is being pushed and squeezed which I guess it actually is. Did you do a lot of chest exercises with your implants? It's scary because I never had them before.

Did you call the office to tell them that this area keeps pussing?
Middletown7828 4 May 2011
I can't lift weights yet right??? I can't wait feels like my arms are gonna turn to mush. I walked two slow miles yesterday! My incision I think is good. I don't see it under the tape. Call Karen and ask her about the puss she's the one that tells you everything!

Ready for a change I didnt know we could use neosporin and the tape still sticks on it?? How are you doing with your weight?
readyforchange 4 May 2011
It's coming off slowly. Isn't it always that way. Comes on quick, hard as hell to take off ughhhhh. My stomach looks good though it's just my thighs and ass that are fat lol. I put the neosporin on with a q-tip right over the incision line so the tape will still stick. I'm still using the neosporin on all of my incisions. I use maderma too. I rotate the two. I think you can lift weights because you didn't have your breasts done. You can definitely work your upper body.
chloeskye 4 May 2011
no didnt because when i went in last week they saw it and said it is normal. It is the bodies way of trying to spit out the stitch. It is not infected just one spot that keeps forming like a pimple and just pusses a little bit. So weird. lol anyway the rest of the incision looks good!
are we suppose to go in again at 3 months?
Middletown7828 4 May 2011
How often do you change your tape I don't like the feeling so as long as it's not peeling up I leave it alone is that bad? I thought I could lift weights because Dr. said I could start picking up thing that were 20 25 pds so I thought why not weights Last week they said just start walking. Yesterday I walked two miles and had a crazy day didn't sit till 11 last night and my stomach feels funny so today I won't walk

I can see the three of us have very little patience with recovery! and you two are ahead of me!
chloeskye 4 May 2011
you still have the steri strip on?
Middletown7828 4 May 2011
Yeh, last week they took off an old one and put on a new one. Is it suppose to be off?
readyforchange 4 May 2011
I would leave it on until they tell you that you don't need it anymore. Buy your own roll of paper tape and change it every other day. Put some neospotin on a qtip and just run it along the cut and replace the tape. That's what I did and my incision is healing really nice. I know that might not be the reason, because everyone heals differently but it's worth a shot.
readyforchange 4 May 2011
lol. very little patience.
