First Consultation for Rhinoplasty Scheduled for June 5th - Nebraska

$5,000
I've gotten in touch with the referred doctor and I can already tell I'm going to want to go with him, he's only an hour away and his work is literally AMAZING. His pricing is beyond my means right now and he doesn't take carecredit. The surgery in total is probably going to be around 11k. Pretty pricey and I know high prices doesn't equal the best quality always but his work in the type of rhinoplasty that I want is pretty much what I've always dreamed of. Hahaha, so I'm trying to figure out what I can do because I can afford the $500 down payment but from there I'm not sure, the full amount is due by 6 weeks prior to the surgery and I think if I gave them every cent I made for two months, which is impossible I have rent and food and other expensives, I'd be able to pay probably a fourth if not close to half. I'm not sure what to do. I have no credit card, I have no credit period. I'm 20 years old. Haha. But I am determined to get this surgery.

So I had my consultation today. And wowzers he was so nice. Haha, and honest as well. I asked him about his history with Ethnic noses and he was very honest, I live in a rather small city and he has rarely had any history with ethnic noses, though he told me my features weren't typically "ethnic", but he told me that I should continue to look around, he also said some really large docterish words, and basically told me that I had a slightly deviated septum and that my right inner nostril was kinda... closed? Either way I actually NEED some work done for my breathing. Haha. Surprising. But he did a test and I'm surprised I never noticed how different my nostrils are. He told me I had a beautiful nose, which bothered my mom, she thinks he was checking me out hardcore. I'd kind of agree but hey, I'll take it as a compliment. Haha, but he gave me a Doctor's name in the only other large city in this state so I'm going to set up a consultation with them as soon as possible. I also have a skype consultation set up with a doctor in Beverly Hills. Based upon the pictures on the website I'm really impressed with who I was referred to! Well, I'm off! Time to go shopping for a rhinoplasty surgeon! :)

I'm nervous. I'm very very nervous. I have a lot riding on this surgery. I've never been happy with my nose. I can't count how many times I've had people blatantly look at it, get distracted by it. Comment on it. And it's not that I have a "bad" nose. It's just far too large for my face. Not even far too large. Just large enough to the point where it's too large. If that makes sense? Maybe I'm rambling. Haha, long story short, I want rhinoplasty to narrow and define my nose. Just a little bit. I really like my nose shape. I'm mixed with African American and Native American so I'm kind of nervous on what results I'll get. I know you're not supposed to go into these things wanting perfection. But I'm thinking that if I can get the results that I want, then that is perfection. :) I'm into modeling. And I've been critiqued on how much my nose stands out. And it's nothing against me, it's just the truth. My nose isn't a typical ethnic nose it's fairly defined. It's almost... hawkish. I feel like I have the nose of an olden British actor if anything. It's very characteristic and very prominent. It's not very feminine at all actually.

My biggest fear is someone not knowing how to go about my surgery properly. I may be of mixed heritage but my nose is still ethnic. It's got the thick skin, It's just.. not shaped like a normal African American or Native American's. I've just started a fairly well paying job. And I go back to school in October so if I can find the right surgeon for me in June that would be great. Fingers crossed on this. I know I should post a picture but for fear of my talent agency not being happy about it I'll refrain. For now. :) PS. Since I live in the Midwest I'm rather fearful that I won't find the doctor I want here. And it's not really in my budget to travel to get this done. HOWEVER I would never go the cheap route for something like this. I want natural and realistic. Not cheap and probably going to cost me a lot extra with revisions.

Oooh, very exciting! Definitely look for a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. This is so important to your outcome. You also might want to check out this list of what questions to ask your potential surgeons.
