I am 40 year old mother of three. I have been a widow, loosing my husband and the father of my children at 25 years old. I have changed my life, profession, and remarried.... I am athletic and exercise 4-5 days a week. I have hated my "post baby body" since my last child was born in 1996.
The day is finally here for the TT I always wanted. And now that I am 40 and my breast are now a "deflated A cup" I have decided to have breast augmentation also! My husband and family are so supportive!
It is scheduled for Feb 6th and paid in full!!! Ill post pictures as soon as I can!

Day -20 and counting! Surgery day is Feb 6th and I cant think of anything else! I want to be prepared and I think im over doing it! I have wanted to do this sooo long! Anyone else feel like this before their surgery???

Today is my last shift at work then I will be off for 7 weeks!! Whoop Whoop! I am looking forward to that for sure!!! My surgery is in 3 days and I still can not believe it!! I think i have everything in place... still have to go to the grocery store, but My hubby has lined up a lady to come clean the house the day of my surgery.

24 hours left.... Tomorrow morning I will be in surgery being prepped! I can't even begin to explain my emotions. Up and down, short and tense and snappy but cuddling and loving. I think it's just all anxiety. I think I'm prepared and if not and I forget I something.... Then oh well!!!
I find myself looking at my chest and stomach as if to say goodbye... Wierd huh???

A SHOWER!!!!!
I got to take a shower today! Yeah!!! Post op day 3 and I feel good! Drainage is diminishing and I have been able to move around alot. I am decreasing pain meds too! And I've been able to go to the bathroom!
All good signs towards healing!!!!
Still bent over slightly and swollen as u can see in the pictures! But all in all.... Headed in the right direction!

Had my first post op appt today. Post op day 6 and feeling good! Drain taken out! That alone is amazing!!! He said everything looking great! I will see him again in two weeks!!! I was able to buy some soft sports bras and new tops. Just so I won't be wearing zip up sweats all the time!!! I feel great but ofcourse exhausted from the drive ( 2 hours) to dr appt and visit itself. And I feel very swollen. All in all a good day! ;)

Well... One week post op and I am better every day! Standing straighter each day.. Mornings are my best, yet I tire quickly. The burning sensation in my breasts continues but I'm told that's normal. No more drains and steri strips remain. My surgeon told me they would come off on their own. He also told me all sutures are dissolvable inside and he used dermabond to close me! Very cool!!! He said my breast are riding high and will drop i er the coming days and weeks. They will take on more of the "tear shape" they are suppose to look like! Looking forward to seeing what I'll be left with! Overall I'm VERY VERY happy!

Morning! It's post op day 12 for me and I feel really good! I still have steri strips covering all of my incisions. Since there are no stitches on the outside and he used dermabond to close me. The steri strips are stuck on. He said its normal and would fall off eventually. I see him again on the 26th so I'm hoping by then they will be. I have to say that I have not had ONE bruise! I feel great and I only had one day without a BM!!!! I attribute all of this to good health and ZIJA! I have been using it since OCT! (www.drinklifein.com). It has helped me heal faster.... I believe this!!!
Well my husband and I spent the whole day out yesterday and I bought a new bikini!!! Totally guessing on the size, ofcourse! I'm in love!! ;). I have swelling but not too bad! They put me in a large garmet after surgery and I picked up a new one... A medium! Whoop whoop! Being off work for 5 more weeks may be hard! I'm gonna feel so good!

Well there are ups and downs... I have hit my first down. First let me say.... Everything has gone great and I'm not ungrateful for that. The steri strips have started to fall off and my incision is more visible. Gosh it's ugly. Can I say more?
I go back next Tuesday and I'm looking forward to getting the scar cream. I bought silicone strips but don't know about using them. I will ask Tuesday I guess.
I am so grateful and have to tell myself that I'm being RIDICULOUS! I guess it's the drizzly weather and my period.... So expect DOWNS WIFH THE UPS!!!!

Well good day today, although I have a snag... A small access from a suture on my right hip. No biggie... I just drained it and put antibiotic cream on it and started taking oral antibiotic. I think I've headed it off. I have appt on Tuesday so we will see. New pics. The sensation in my breast is so wierd. It's like a SHIVER all the time!!!! And these burning sensations. I hear that's normal. Hmmmm

Well I'm lying awake with heartburn (literally) so thought Id post an update. AlL steri strips are off!!! I have a few stitches revealing themselves and a small abcess on my right hip from one. It's under control and I hv been taking antibiotics so no big worries there. I have a dr appt today and am hoping for some release to exercise SOME!!!!
As i begin to feel better I become more frustrated and impatient. I know this is part of the process and when I hear myself I sound pathetic!! " I wanna sleep on my stomach" " I want a bath" "I'm sick of this garmet"... Etc! Etc! I am grateful that I had the opportunity to do this.... I'm happy with my results.... So these alternates feeling have to be boredom and inability to exercise the stress away! ;) Well... Hope everyone is well ... Two new pics. From last night.

Well dr appt today.... Went well. I am post op day 20 and he was pleased. They trimmed a few sutures that were sticking out and have me scar gel. Told me to apply it twice daily and cover with steri strips. He said I could use silicone strips so maybe I'll do that at night.
The best news was that I can sleep in normal clothes at night....wear any soft bra during the day AND gave me some approved exercise items besides just walking!!!! Whoop whoop!!!!

Post op day 23. All us going well, I haven't even gotten out if bed today yet. ;). I met some co workers for beer and pizza yesterday! And whoa did I SWELL! I knew u shouldn't but it was only 3 beers!!!
So I slept in my CG again last night to make myself feel better! Haha!
I think I'll take my own advice and TAKE IT EASY TODAY!!!
Breast are good and still applying scar gel and steri strips twice a day. Ready to go back to the gym with the trainer Monday! ;)))

Well the day started early, had a conference to go to in Nashville. Left house about 6 am. Headed back home now and have banquet tonite with my husband. I'm gonna try to wear real jeans! Not stretch skinny jeans. I wanna wear my cowboy boots! Wish me luck!
P.s. I am posting a picture from day 23 because I am truly amazed at the change in my breasts. I am so happy with them!

Well tomorrow is 4 weeks since my surgery. I am happy with the results and have only had a few minor issues.
I'm still off work until march 25th. I am starting to feel more like myself... EXCEPT I still can not get into my jeans! WTF!!!
So I have gone to the gym the last two mornings and walked and done the elliptical like a mad women!!! My trainer has given me a list of safe and approved exercises and warned me that the goal is only to "salvage" what I have. Not loose any more muscle.
I however have started to log what I eat again and am trying to not get too fare behind.
My mind tells me that realistically I am 4 weeks out from a major surgery.... Give myself a break! Well I am but I can get too far behind the ball.... I just can't!!!
Hope everyone is well and I'll post 4 week pictures tomorrow!

I wake up knowing today is post op 4 weeks. All in all things have gone pretty well... Small "spitting stitch" that I will have to go in and have taken care of this week, but that's not a big deal!
I have my own amount of frustration with my jeans, the scale, and not being able to really "work out" but I read alot of that on here! So.... Get ready for it if you are planning your surgery! I have made friends on here, some I will keep forever! ( and for that I am happy!)

Well... I have a "spitting stitch" that won't SPIT! Hahaha. Headed to dr to get taken out. I'm so proud it's only complication I have had!

Post 32 days.... I feel good, little more fluid than I expected. I am religious with my CG and the PS told me that it would absorb.
This morning while I was doing my freaking "fifty" steps to get ready... I was massaging mood tiring lotion on my scars under my breast and noticed a little blood from the left. Grrrr! With closer inspection I have noticed ut seems to have split just a little. So back to a bandage and antibiotic ointment.
I'm trying not to panic. Can u tell????
So I lie here with my feet up in a soft sportsbar. ;(
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

Happy 5 weeks today!! My update will strictly be for the women looking ahead and needing info and inspiration! This site is where u get it!!!
Reminder: I had a MINI tummy tuck, and 330 silicone tears shaped implants ABOVE the muscle. (This changes some of the comparisons)
I can stand straight, exercise lightly ( no weights, no running) basically me and elliptical are becoming GOOD friends!
I LOVE MY BOOBS! They are softening, dropping nicely. My left still lagging behind and mild numbness still there. Hoping it comes back completely!!! ;)
I still wear garmet during day and use scar scream and tape! I swell some at the end of day... They say that's normal too!
And last but not least... I wish I had done this YEARS ago!!!

Well it's 6 weeks and 1 day today.... Hormones ruined yesterday and the inability to workout has not helped!!! But.... Thanks to StarFish78 and her posting she ran 3 miles on her 6 week post op day yesterday.... It Pushed Me to try!!!! I RAN 1.5 miles today and worked out like a mad woman!!! Still no ab workout and no pec involvement but I don't wanna be stupid ya know!!!!
Still LOVE the girls and so glad I did it! They are much softer! And my belly is looking good. Still swell in evenings but not too much!

Well today is 7 weeks and 5 days.... I would have posted sooner but alot has happen this past week.... I went back to work....HARD.... Got the flu, then a stomach bacteria!!! So I have been back in the bed since Thursday!
Let me tell you.....going back to "feeling bad" and being in the bed has been the hardest!!!
As far as the surgery, all is good. I scheduled a lymphatic massage for tomorrow to help with swelling ( I assume is from being at work again) but I'm not sure I should keep it as I might infect her.
So, I will try to post pictures this week! Happy Easter to all and I hope everyone is healing well!!!

Today is 8 weeks! I feel good. Love my boobs and love my results from the TT.... Ofcourse u hope scar lightens, but I feel from other people's experiences that it will.
Issues I still deal with...
Limited exercise
Still wear CG during workout and at work
Mild swelling
Numbness in breast ( certain areas)
I'm still applying scar gel and still taping also!

Nine weeks has passed so fast! I am trying to keep these updates ongoing as I am now looking for people who post three and four months out. And who also post pics.
I feel great! Breasts still settling and tummy doing well I think! I have had swelling but manageable and expected. I still wear my CG to workout and at work. I can be on my feet a lot at work and lifting heavy items. So I feel safer doing so. Otherwise I wear spanx panties. I am still using scar gel and taping or using silicone sheets also!
I am back at the gym taking it slow. I am still not running or doing straight up core exercises but my trainer is modifying a lot! This ALONE makes me a happier person! I love to be active!
Hope everyone else is doing well! Keep up the posts... I so love them!

It's been 12 weeks! I feel good! Still swelling somedays. I have had two lymphatic massages and that helps a lot. I'm using the silicone scar sheets on my abdomen and the scar else on my breasts. Kinda like an experiment..... The silicone sheets are working better to change the color.
I'm happy I did this and would do it again! I hope all you girls are well and anyone considering or planning this surgery! Do it for yourself and don't look back! You won't regret!!!!
