WORTH IT$3,800
My motivation for explant involved progressive hardening of my implants over time, and a sister who was diagnosed with breast cancer. 3 doctors told me implants don't affect early detection, but I felt safer removing them. I selected a female MD in Nashville. I would highly recommend her.
I opted first for deflation in her office to see what I would be left with and to decide about removal and/or reimplant. I felt immediately better after deflation to have the rocks off my chest. Then after 2 weeks decided on explant, no reimplant. Procedure was $3700 for surgeon, outpatient surgery center and anesthesia. I didn't take my own pics but will get them from the doctor and post them. I am about 8 hrs postop, in an ace wrap until tomorrow, no drains, stiches out next week. I didn't take selfies but will post my MD's before/after photos after all is healed.

After mustering some courage.....I uploaded 3 pictures pre-op, post-deflation, and one week post explant. I hope these don't scare anyone from getting explanted. The doctor said they'll 'fluff' over time. They feel much better than they look right now, and I am very, very happy to be natural again.

Wow! Look at the change in just one week! Looks great! And way better than the fakes I think :)

Congrats on being all natural! Can you post recent pixs to see how they are looking now that they have had a chance to fluff?

I am 5 days post ex plant and I feel better too! I started a detox program with Dr. Brent Davis in Nashville and beginning that has really helped me shift from feeling obsessed with what they're going to look like to really focusing on my overall health and getting the damage out of my lymph glands etc. They will change and fluff and be pretty with time and in the meantime it's so good to be on the road to recovery and truly loving our bodies that are a gift from God! Be swet to yourself and dwell in the joy that the hardest part is over :). :)

Can't say these are pretty, but at least they're no longer rock hard and painful. And I can hug people without being self conscious about bumping into them with the rocks. I'm single, no one has to look at this but me. They match the rest of my 60 year old body, droopy and saggy. I am still very happy I explanted.

Thank you for sharing and I think you have healed nicely. There is a lot to be said about feeling better too! I am one week post explant and too am saggier than I would like but feel so much better that it's with the trade off. Take care!

Yes it is definitely worth the trade-off. If only we could tell new implanters what they'll go through in 20 or 30 years. But oh well, they'd implant anyway. When I implanted at age 40 no one could have changed my mind.

Oh! Thanks so much for sharing your recent photos! That was so kind of you :-) I still think they look very nice & natural ❤ hugs xxoo

Much better then the implants! Congratulations, how was the procedure itself? ty.

well unless you live in a nudist colony it really doesn't matter much as long as you feel good and are healthy and happy that's what people see :) They really do look good and feeling good is where it's at these days. feeling good is a kind of beauty money can't buy :)

I am single as well and this healing journey is mine alone. Loving my body was the lesson and funny thing now I value how I feel above how I look - time has a way of changing things. If you meet someone special and je doesn't appreciate the courage it took to be you and go through all this then he isn't the one for you! Walk in gratitude and see what changes take place in all of us it's like a butterfly and now we know the big secret of what's really important!
