I could not have chosen a better group of people...

I could not have chosen a better group of people to work with. From start to finish, the entire process has been wonderful! For a little background info... I sought out Dr. Hansel to perform a Breast Augmentation. Before my consultation I was incredibly nervous and didn't know what to expect. The staff assured me that I would be completely taken care of and I definitely was! Dr. Hansel made me feel very secure in my choice and was very patient in answering my hundreds of questions. Finally the day of surgery arrived (today) and I once again was nervous... more so of the outcome, pain and seeing how some women's breasts are deformed after surgery. Dr. Hansel and the nurse reassured me this would not happen. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Hansel and the anesthesiologist. They did such a good job at putting my mind at ease before surgery and made things more comfortable by joking around with me before I was knocked out. Even being its a few hours after surgery, the 'girls' look fantastic! I've got some swelling but nothing extreme. I've been walking around and doing basic tasks and so far haven't felt the need to take any pain pills yet (surgery was at 8am and its now 8:13pm). I highly highly recommend Lowcountry Plastic Surgery!

Morning of Day 3

First, allow me to add a little more background info... Prior to surgery, I was somewhere between a 32A-34A but could barely fill out my bras. Needless to say, this has always been quite frustrating. I decided to go under the knife for myself (no outside influences) and so far everyone has been very supportive of the decision. I chose to go with Saline implants, 330cc in each with an incision in the breast crease, which we're estimating will get me to a full C or possibly a small D.

Day 1: A piece of cake. I was definitely a little loopy and out of it in the morning but throughout the rest of the day I managed just find. I had no severe pain or soreness. The most I felt was pressure on my chest (of course) and tightness from my skin being pulled, but nothing unmanageable. And I made it through the entire day with ZERO pain pills. Luckily, my wonderful husband made me snacks to munch on during the day while he was gone so I wouldn't have to get up and move too terribly much. However, I was advised to walk around as much as possible after surgery to increase blood flow and help the stiffness.

Day 2: The tightness/stiffness is still very apparent and I've been sore in places I wasn't on day 1.. such as the sides of my rib cage where the skin is being pulled and the top of my chest where there is swelling. I've used an icepack a few times just to try to decrease the swelling as much as possible. Its not too bad though... just looks like I'm wearing a pushup bra. My muscles are a lot more sore today but I think thats only because I'm trying to use them a little more for basic tasks (picking up a water bottle, changing my pants from pjs... pretty much anything to do with 'picking up').

Day 3: Finally we make it to today.... waking up this morning was a lot better! I don't feel as stiff as I have been and it definitely hasn't hurt as much to get myself to a standing position (which is usually the worst part). I have a band that I'll be starting to use to push the 'girls' together and down more today... so we shall see how that goes and I'll keep you posted!
