I'm sorry you had to endure that pain. Truly hoping you're feeling better now.

I am 3 weeks post op and I am having constant pain also.
They are so sore and painful that the shower hurts. Now, I am told to massage them which is impossible without suffering severe pain.
My doctor said it's nerve pain and I should be taken neurontin for months or it could be permanent.
I am so discouraged and depressed about this. Just want a day where I feel no pain again.
At least you have a good doctor that cares enough to try and find an acceptable method to ease the pain for you. I don't think it will be permanent but it will take a while, hang in there.
I am currently six weeks post op and I have this same awful nerve pain but only in my left breast. I cant stand it. I wish it would stop but I also fear this pain might be permanent. Help!
Do you still feel pain? I'm almost 8wks and I have this too! Did you ever take Neurontin?
did ur pain ever go away! I know this was forever ago now
ok I know this is an old post but I DID have that pain but it has gone away now. I'm 3 M post op
I realize this is now a super old post...how did u get it to stop!! did it take 3 full months?

I am 5 weeks post op and still experiencing nerve pain. I'm not talking about an occasional 'zinger' or nipple sensitivity, I'm talking about the entire both breat having CONSTANT burning. It feels like I'm on fire and if ANY material is touching them it feels like sand paper rubbing a burn.

Has anyone else experienced this? I sure would like to know if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. I am so worried that this could be permanent.

The implant could be too big and pressing on the verves. then you need to change to a smaller implant. But before that you need to see a neurologist, there are medication (NEURONTIN, LYCRA) that can help with nerve pain.
I am 2 weeks post op and am having the same symptoms. I described it the exact same way, like sandpaper!! I really hope that this is temporary!
Hi - I see this was posted quite a few years ago - but did you find anything that worked for the pain? I have exactly the same thing. How long did it last for? I am currently 2 weeks post op.
Hi did your nerve pain end up going away. I’m 12 days post op and have been having nerve pain since day 2...does it go away?
Hi! Ok, so I am now 8 months post op. The pain went away after about 8 weeks for me. I had a prescription from my doctor for something for neuropathic pain (Pregabalin), which helped a lot! Another thing that made it feel a lot better was heat. I hugged a heated bean bag, and it felt wonderful! Also, making sure your skin sits against a really soft fluffy fabric also helped a lot. I used a fabric called minky, but any soft fluffy fabric helps. No idea why. So - it will get better. If it's unbearable, get a script from your Dr for a treatement for neuropatich pain. If its not too bad, choose your fabric carefully, and use heat. :) Good luck!
