Just had the my consultation today and booked the surgery for roughly 6 weeks away! I'm so excited! I feel confident in my surgeon. I only had this one consultation, but did extensive research beforehand and after meeting with him felt confident in my choice of surgeon. I'm 5'4" and 140 lbs. I have a severe diastasis recti. Because of this, he's asked me to lose 10lbs prior to surgery and strengthen the abdominal muscles as much as I can prior to surgery to maximize the results. As I don't have much fat besides the abdomen area, he will be doing minor lipo on the love handles. I'm getting a 371 cc silicone gel cohesive implant using an inframammary approach under the muscle. I'm officially in the pre-op phase of this journey. I'll need to meet with the anesthetist and get blood work done prior to surgery. I have also been given some special strips to where over old scars to put them in better shape prior to surgery. Monday, I should receive a call to confirm my date. Two things about this surgeon that made me feel at ease was that 1. He said I'd have a 'killer' body afterwards and 2. Perfect practice makes perfect. I will keep updating as needed.
