The Best Decision of my Life

  • Worth It
  • Cost: $5,000
  • Dr. Lessner (Millennium Laser Eye Center, Miami FL)

Wavelight Allegretto Laser surgery was the best...

Wavelight Allegretto Laser surgery was the best decision I ever made.  I was scared and hesitant about having the procedure at first.  Being dependent on glasses and contacts left me feeling disabled.  I never thought my eyes were capable of seeing so clear, it was like a miracle.  It has been over one year since my procedure and I'm still in shock.

I literally went from a -7.75 to 20/20 vision in a matter of minutes.  My vision is so clear that I find myself touching my nose to push up glasses that aren't there.  The quality of customer service and professionalism was superior and more than I could ever imagine.

My father located this doctor, you can find the procedure for less but because my sight was so poor I wanted the best. I live in Pensacola and drove all the way to Miami to have my surgery done.

Dr. Lessner has completed a great deal of surgeries and is named one of the best and is board certified. I would recommend his services to anyone...He is the BEST!

Pros: Instant vision repair, you will never need glasses (aside from aging you may need reading glasses later on in life). Most of all I feel like I can do anything…Strange as it may sound, but that's how I felt.

Cons: I was not prepared for the slight burning after the surgery it lasted for about 1-2 hours and it was difficult but I just made myself go to sleep. Your eyes are super sensitive to the sun. I went to Burlington Coat factory and bought about 5 pair of sunglasses…lol…I was so excited about trying on sunglasses and being able to actually see what I looked like (for my people that wear only glasses…. they understand). I can’t tell you how many time I would put on a pair of shade and look in the mirror only to see a big ass blur (because I couldn’t see without the damn glasses)....lol and don’t ask my why I would try on sunglasses and was blind as hell.

For those that have poor sight, when wearing your glasses and contacts you probably think like I use to think, which was because I have glasses and contacts my sight is better than regular people who don’t need glasses…WRONG!!!!

My eyes are better than wearing glasses and my vision is sharp and clear. It’s almost feels like I have permanent contacts embedded in my eyes, but they are my real eyes.

Thank you Dr. Lessner, and to the staff of Millennium for giving me my independence.

BTW… Ladies this doctor is absolutely HANDSOME…and he looks even better after the surgery!

Great review?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm +3 now and I'm wearing riding sunglasses. They are cute (by IMAN) but I really love to wear any kind of shades. I will definitely use your doc. I can't risk when it's coming to eyes. Thanks

ZI 14 Mar 2013
Yes baby, this is your girl Zi. I didn't do my eyes yet. I'm in need of an upgrade: eyes and neck. I'm getting older

As your "avatar" says a body and a face can change but the real woman never. And that's what's good about me. I can never change my real me. Love you doll :-]

Starbursts lasted a few weeks but the dry eyes continued for much more longer. But in fairness. I had always suffered from dry eyes. But all in all a decision I can never regret!

I get dry eyes sometimes during spring time. Are your dry eyes worse now or are they like before lasik?

Jilrio I'm praying for you and I know God will surely heal you! There's nothing God cannot do! Just keep trusting and thanking him for your healing. I had my LASIK done 5 years ago and It was the best decision I ever made. I was told about the blurring and Halos as a side effect but went ahead regardless. I can't imagine what you're going through but I'll surely keep you in my prayers. Xxx

Hi jlirio, God bless you and I hope you should get recover from this problem. I too did my Lasik, and after operation some aberration got induced in my eyes, less in left eye but more in right eye. The no. is still there and ever after wearing spectacle I can't see (read) properly for distance. It's been so frustrating from last 6 months and still going thru this very bad phase of life. I am still thinking that why I have ever done this LASIK because I was so perfect with my glasses. After operation My eyes become so sensitive & dry, I am still putting drop in my eyes. - Manish

Mine did not go well. My left eye is perfectly fine but my right eye had DLK after. DLK is now gone but left a thin scar in the center of my cornea. I'm having difficulty with my right eye now. I can see startbursts, halos especially at night and I have blurred vision, like having an acetate right in front of my right eye. I hope that I can recover from this. There is no guarantee since the problem is the SCAR in the center of my cornea. I hope it heals and vanish overtime. I feel so sad and frustrated but I know that God will help me go through this difficult phase in my life. If you have good words to say-kindly send me a message. It will surely help. God bless.

God will heal it..I'm so sorry to hear about your experience, before I had surgery I had an accident causing inflammation that caused severe scarring, it was so bad that the doctors told me I would never be able to have lasik surgery. But I was determined and I took whatever eye drops prescribed to heal my eyes, and within 6-9 months the doctors couldn't believe that my eyes were fully healed. Needless to say a few months after I got the lasik done. But just as I was motivated I see that you are too and your eyes will heal just fine!
