I'm around 23% body fat and it varies down to 20% or so but that lower abdomen area just really sticks out sometimes.

I had been through a few liposuction consults as well as coolsculpting consults and after looking up both online as well, I just wasn't sure.

Then I found vanquish and I thought wow, this seems a little easier. I was only able to find 2 places that did vanquish in WA state (or the general Seattle area) but there may be more now.

The one I went to in Seattle seemed good but they basically told me they didn't think I'd see much of a result. I liked their honesty but I wondered if there were other places to try.

I found another one in Mill Creek, WA and they seemed very positive that I could get the results I wanted and they were slightly cheaper.

The lady was really nice and had a good bedside manner and seemed like she really wanted to help clients. I liked that. So I went in for 4 procedures.

Vanquish isn't too tough really. I heard horror stories about Coolsculpting hurting and making you numb for months, etc. Vanquish, you just sit there and try to stand the heat as much as you can and if there are 'hot spots' or a spot that gets exceptionally hot, the operator can move the applicator around for you till it feels better. You need to drink a lot of water beforehand as well (if you aren't regularly hydrated) and stay as still as you can throughout the procedure.

I did that 4 weeks in a row for 45 min each and didn't really see much of a result. They also threw in some kind of skin tightening procedure at the end as well and that hurt like a mother! Same idea where it would be really warm and she rubs it on your tummy and after a while it starts to be TOO HOT but she keeps going. Owies.

Anyway after not seeing results with the 4 sessions and the 1 skin tightening session, the lady felt bad that we weren't seeing much of a change and she threw in a free vanquish session.

Waited a few weeks after that before coming back to take final pictures but still didn't see much of a change.

So for me, I'd say it probably wasn't worth it but the fact that it was non-surgical, I really had to know. For someone with a little more fat, maybe it would do more? I'm not sure.

Heather seemed like a great Asthetician and she really seemd to care about her patients. I loved her friendly and happy attitude and her willingness to go the extra mile to make her client (me) happy. Makes me want to come back even if that particular procedure didn't work out so well.
