Hello to all, this is something I wanted for the...

Hello to all, this is something I wanted for the last 8 years. I have done alot of research, so much so I might can perform the surgery my self lol.....

O.k heres the scenario, I am a 35 year old mother of six...(pin drops) yes I said it six. No they are not twins triplets or even tuplets, they were all single births which I spent my glorious twenties having 'em. I have three boys and three girls. The last was born in Jan of 2010.

With the last birth I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and hypertension. The diabetes went away with the birth of the baby and well I fought with the hypertension which eventually went away like the Dr.s said it would in about 8 to 9 months.

My surgery is scheduled in Feb. of 2011 3 whole months and I am so anxious. I had a dr.s appointment the other day and the first thing the dr. said when he saw me was " so I see you are pregnant". Ughhhhhh..!!!!! doctooorrrrr!!!! I am 5 ft even 150lbs and I still have the pregnancy shape to my stomach. I know I am on the heavy side in which I never was, not @ least til the last birth I was always 98-118lbs after having a baby but I did stop smoking and I guess with the diabetes and my age I have gained weight after giving birth....

I am a lil freightend as to the risk and what to expect but I want this so bad I will not turn away from the opportunity. It's either now or never. So wish me luck and I will post some before pics in about a month and keep you guys updated from there on out.

Great review?

My Doctor: Michael Freedland, MD

My rating:

He and his staff are very welcoming, they make you feel very comfortable. I have seen his work and it was very neat. He has been doing surgery for years and is very good At what he does. He performed a tt on my friend and it came out perfect.... I feel really comfortable with him.Updated on 28 Nov 2010:He and his staff are very welcoming.. They make you feel @ ease and cared for. Hello, I live in Grand Rapids, I have been wanting a tummytuck for a long time and plan on doing it later this year after i finish school in August. I am scared to death. Please let me know how it goes for you. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you!

Well I know exactly how you feel - I've been going nuts and now it's here. I'm going in for my TT and lipo just like you- tomorrow!!! I am anxious, scared, excited, freaking out but like you I cannot let this opportunity go by! I want my body back!
I have another thread going so check for my post-op updates in the next week.
Hang in there- time flies!

Good for You!! I had Extended TT w/ Lipo (waist, flanks -- and hips (saddlebags) and thighs) in Sept. I, like you, was a nervous wreck. I also did my homework. I am sooooooo glad that I had the surgery and would do it again in a heartbeat. However, it doesn't come without some pain and frustration now and then (can't workout to the extent that I was before -- no ab work, no running/jogging yet). It is a slow healing process as you may have some swelling off and on, as well as "tugging and pulling" sensations. It is a major surgery -- particulary with the Lipo added to the TT -- must be patient. Trust and listen to your surgeon and you will have a wonderful outcome. I am 9 weeks out from my surg and will post my entire story with pics this week. Everytime I sit down to do it -- it turns into a novel! :)

Girl...I know. From the first moment I booked surgery not a day went by that I didn't read or look at pics on the surgery! Usually my life is in super speed! Now it feels so slow!
mimi1975 17 Nov 2010

My surgery is the 24th of November.......AHHHHHH that's less than a week away. I am beside myself...been exersizing like a fiend....I think I am emotionally eating, my face looks like a pizza parlor.....I need a drink or something to chill me the heck out.

Congrats for stopping smoking! I always think it's better to be a little bigger, but healthier, than to be a skinny smoker. :) Anyway, nervousness is 100% normal. If you've read through the tummy tuck community, you'll see that a lot of women are really nervous about their surgeries! And it's so great that you were able to get a recommendation on a surgeon whose work you've seen first hand.

Can't wait to see your pics and hear more of your story!

You  might want to join me on Facebook at a community I've started called Moms Who Want Their Bodies Back.
