Looking Forward to my Explant. Suggestions, Tips, Advice? - Miami, FL

WORTH IT
It is now almost two months after my Explant surgery and I may sound like a broken record but just have to repeat how HAPPY I am with my decision. I LOVE my body and breasts and it all feels so surreal. The whole experience of surgeries, breast implants, and now going back to NORMAL is just surreal. Ladies, please don't feel concerned about this surgery and jump right in if you're having the thoughts. You will not regret it and your body will feel so content again. Good luck on your journeys and I'm here for you!

Did your breasts feel really mushy like jello at first? If so how quickly did that go away? Did you get your old size shape and firmness back?
Hi!! Planning pn my removal as well but scared on how much skin goes back and surgeons always suggesting to do a lift...

Feeling great. Yesterday my stitches were removed and after a deep examination my doctor said I do have some fluid build up in left breast so this Friday I have to return to get it removed via injection. (ouch!!) I hope there's no complications after because next week I have to fly back home....

Oh no! I've got a sloshing in my left breast and I'm dreading my post op tomorrow in case they syringe it! Will let you know how it goes. X
Yup, they're going to syringe me on Friday!! I wonder if that is very painful?? :-X
Yep it sure does. I'm in first thing tomorrow morning so will let you know if they syringe me and how it goes.
uugh wow. ok let me know how it goes...
Hey Sammy

That's me been to hospital and they didn't syringe it (phew!), they said it would take quite a while to settle down but it would be re-absorbed into my body. Good luck tomorrow, fingers crossed all goes well and is painfree, let me know.
Hi Lainey!!

I by chance had the same situation. Last week period it has been reducing natural on it's own so I didn't have to get drained. Thankfully!!!!!!! I feel I'm pretty much back to my original form which is great!! Only thing is odd is under one incision I have some weird indentation/tucking of the skin. Doctor said that will smooth out once the muscle settles again.
Hey Sammy

Glad to hear you didn't need syringed (it didn't sound very pleasant). Glad you're more or less back to normal. I'm feeling much better now too, although my scars feel pretty hard and uncomfy at times but like you I'm hoping this will sort itself out.

I'm exactly 7 days post operation and healing very well. The concaved area is filling in very slightly. My left breast, that had the complications, is still lower and much bigger than my right side. I also feel it's a bit firmer than my right side. Could this all be normal swelling that just needs time to shrink?

Any comments would be appreciated!! Oh today I'm also able to raise my arms a little higher! woo hoo.

Hi Sammy

I'm having the same problem, I was explanted on Monday and while my right boob is looking rather sad and sorry for itself my left one still seems quite full and has a sloshing sound coming from it. I phoned the hospital today and they advised nothing to worry about and it would settle in time (this was the side that had ruptured). I wasn't told to wear a bra either but I feel more comfortable in a crop top. I ran it past the nurse today and she said it was a good idea to wear a comfy top/bra that would hold things in place! X
seems like a time matter.
