I gained well over 60 lbs during my pregnancy, I was always small figured so that was extremely excessive and thus caused permanent damage to my body. My abdomen muscles seperated and my breasts sagged and flattened tremendously, I have strecth marks on my stomach as well and the only way to rid of them and repair muscle damage is a tummy tuck, I will also be having a breast lift w/o implants. I met with the Dr. Today and though the wait was extremely long it was worth it, he gave me a sense of reassurance and I am comfortable putting my body in his hands.
Pre/post op check list
Today I contacted my coordinator and requested she email me the check list of what precautions to take before and after surgery. It included instructions on how to clean the incision, how to care for the drains, and what medications and supplements to stay away from but, I would have liked to know what supplements I can take to make healing accelerate and what surgical garments to purchase, scar creams, etc.. If anyone can help me better prepare for recovery I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks dolls!
Blood work
So, today I went in to do my lab work, I had to give a urine sample and she took 3 valves of blood. I asked her "what are you checking for with the blood work?" Her response was "its for your surgery we have to do this first." Uh, DUH! She didn't seem to be fluent in English so I gave her a pass.. But I would like to know, and I couldn't speaks with my coordinator today so I'm at a lost, I need to know what to purchase I.e: surgical garments, scar creams, etc.. If anyone can shed some light I'd be very grateful!
