Surgery experience

G
Geeeeeeybbb
Ok so here is a detailed experience of vanity . So they told me surgery was at 1 and the driver dropped me off at 1215. I waited almost two hours before they called me To the back the lady sat me in the corner with my paper work in front of me and told me to get undressed. She gave me one shoe cover lol I asked for another one and they said they ran out so she said give It back . I thought this was so dumb and unprofessional. On top of that she didn't even speak English like at all. Some of the workers there speak a little but she spoke none. Another nurse came and gave me a cup to pee in so they can test to see if im pregnant. I waited about another hour and signed my paper work the nurse took pictures and then doctor fisher came and took more pictures lol . The anestigiologist came first and was asking me a bunch of questions and then doctor fisher came like fifteen minutes later . He was so nice but was a little rushed. He marked me up took pictures . I had last minute added inner and outter thighs and chin. He didn't know that I added outter he thought just inner. He's so funny he was basically trying to talk me out of outter thighs so he said he would do just a little. lol he basically did what he wanted I just told him to maximize everything and he laughed. So the anestigiologist came and took me back to the operating table. He put something in my IV and asked if it hurt. It burned a little. I was so cold before I passed out. I remember feeling a little sleepy and then he asked me how I'm feeling and I told him sleepy and then he said jokingly "my job is done" lol And then I passed out. So when I woke up in recovery I was on my stomach . I completely forgot that I got my chin done lol I was wondering what I was wearing around my chin and then I remembered . The nurse came to wake me up all I heard was "jessica jessica" Come on we're gonna put your garment on. I was so mad that she was waking me up I wanted to sleep still it was like the best sleep of my life. So anyway she started putting my garment on and it was pretty painful . Then she put my shoes on and helped me get up out of bed. She's so funny when she was putting my garment on she was telling me " your beautiful now" "you have big butt" in her accent hahahaha it was so funny in my head even tho I was in pain. So when I got up I got nauseous and she gave me something in my iv for nausea . Obviously it worked right away. So she wheeled me over to the back door and I got in the car and the driver took me back to the hotel. My caregiver was there waiting . The Caregiver didn't know any English either . Thank god I know a little bit of Spanish and I could communicate. She stayed until 6am I was waiting for her to leave the whole time I just wasnt comfortable with her there. I could basically do everything myself so it was awkward when she wanted to get up and help me. The pain wasn't as bad as i thought . It was worse the second day so I just took my pain meds and it helped bring down the pain. It doesn't make it go away completely but it makes it tolerable. My caregiver was also snoring so I couldn't sleep lol when she left I was so happy. Anyway. The worst part about after the surgery is when you lay down for a couple hours and then get up. It's like everything gets stiff and then you move and it burns where the lipo was preformed . The lipo is what Hurts the most . It feels like a burning sensation like your skin is tearing apart on the inside. Your whole body also feels sore like you worked out all day the day before . I def wouldn't have been able to get a tummy tuck at the same time. Also I did use my arms a lot so those of you who want to get your arms lipoed at the same time be prepared . The massages hurt a lot to do I would advise to take pain meds a hour before you go to get your massage.

Thank you so much for posting your experience. I will be going to Fisher in April or May, I haven't decided yet. I'm nervous about the staff being so unprofessional. So none of the staff really spoke english?? That makes me even ore nervous. lol Congrats and hope you have an easy recover.

The ones in the front did but they have accents and then like the massage therapist didn't speak English neither did the lady that took my blood and a nurse in the surgery part didn't and my caregiver didn't lol but when I went to miami basically everyone was Spanish speaking like the whole community and I felt out of place . I never knew miami was a community of Cubans.

Like they all talk in Spanish with each other and you have no idea what they are saying its so unprofessional

Oh and I noticed that none of them wear name badges so you don't know their names or there like credentials like if their medical assistants etc. I thought doctors were supposed to remove drains but his assistant did idk

Agh that's scary that most of them don't speak english. I don't understand why they would hire mostly Spanish speaking staff. I could understand one or two since Miami had a lot of Spanish speaking people living there. How long did your surgery take?

My RH sister said that happened to her and vanity just told her to take Advil and it was part of recovery some people get. While U are laying in stomach, make sure u put a pillow under your stomach to help with positioning

I meant Tylenol.. But I don't know about dark urine.. Have u gotten all lymphatic massafes? That helps with swelling getting extra massages one week after surgery
