Hey Dolls,

I'm really excited to share my journey with you! I am a 27 year-old female getting a Brazilian butt lift. I am 5'6" and 129 lbs. I have a little belly which I hate, sometimes if I do a back stretch and stick it out, people think I'm pregnant, haha. I have nice curves, but they could use some improvement. While, I've never had the biggest booty, I do have a little, with some boney areas I'm not proud of. Squatting and exercise has helped but not to the point where surgery can. Let us be honest here, I've seen the before and after photos of BBL's, and I'm a firm believer. ;)

After researching doctors, I really liked Dr. Duran (DR), Dr. Yily de los Santos (DR), and Dr. Ortega (Miami, FL). After reading many reviews I realized it was not ideal to travel to DR where I do not speak Spanish, and pay about the same amount in a recovery house (as I would for a hotel room in the US) where I've read many bad reviews. So... I booked a consultation with Dr. Ortega. I have vacation from August 24th to September 9th. It's just the right amount of time I needed to get this done. I figured, this is something that I really want. Why not make it happen? So, I got to it. Unfortunately, Dr. Ortega was completely booked for surgery. :( I started looking into other doctors and found Dr. Omelepu who works at the same practice, Spectrum Aesthetics. I looked at his work, and instantly believed that he could give me the body that I want. I scheduled a consultation with him on Wednesday, (8/27/15), and booked the surgery for that Friday, (8/29/15).

You're probably wondering why I put a down payment on a surgery date when I haven't met the doctor yet. I knew this is exactly what I want and no one was going to stop me, unless I didn't like the surgeon. I decided that if I did not like Dr. Omelepu, I would meet with Dr. Ortega.

The Consultation -
Today, on August 26th, I had my consultation with Dr. Omelepu. I was scheduled for 0800, and wasn't seen until 1000. Yup. My thoughts exactly: WTF. I almost fell asleep on the chair, it wasn't cool. The doctor was very rushed and unprofessional. When he demanded that I remove the paper gown, I felt like just a body with a number. He was bossy, and I didn't like it at all. So, I told him so. I told him he was bossy, but I'm bossier. I'm not scared to put anyone in their place, and I made sure he was aware of this. After this, he got better.

I asked him to walk me through the procedure. He did just that, and told me everything I needed to know. I can't deny that Dr. Omelepu knows his stuff. I can expect 12 incisional sites, 6 in front, 6 on the back. I would get liposuction of my abdomen, flanks, waist, and upper/lower back. The surgery would be 2 hours long.
I want a rounder natural looking booty, but I'm more excited about the contouring of my abdomen. I told the doctor this, but just to make sure we are on the same page, I will show him pictures before surgery so he doesn't give me Nikki's booty. ;)

I'm getting really tired, so I'm going to take a nap and I'll update this later tonight!

Sweet Dreams.

Was he rude to you? I was considering him too or Dr.Ortega since they are a lot less expensive than Dr's like Dr.Salama. but Dr.Salama's work is OUTRAGEOUS. It's sooo freaking good lol. But he is very steep. Lol. But are you going with Dr.Omlempu? And are you getting just a big booty or are you getting your booty and hips done? By the way. Your small girl. Lol. How much cc of fat is he going to get out do you know?? Lol. So many questions. Sorry!!! Lol

Dr. Omulepu was not rude to me at all when I was there 8/5/15 and the 6 other visits I have had since then. He was my first choice and he did me very well.

Hi! Yes, I am going with Dr. Omelepu. I'm not going for big butt. I'm an indian girl, so a big booty just would look really unnatural for me. I want something that would go with my body type. I would like more defined curves and a super flat abdomen. ;) ;) ;) Haha, when I went to the office the girls were like, "Where is he going to take out the fat? You're so skinny!" Don't worry, I have some stored away in this lower belly pouch, haha. He didn't tell me cc wise... Now that I think about it, it would have been a good question to ask! Haha, don't apologize, I would be the same way... research, research, research!

That's great to hear! I was scared that he wasn't as nice as I hoped. Having a kind surgeon means a lot. I'm hoping he had a bad day when I saw him because I really want to like him as much as other dolls do. All I can do is be honest, and hope for the best. Thank you for commenting!

A Few Hours Until Surgery / Random Thoughts + Info

Hey Dolls!

So, my surgery will be tomorrow morning at 0830. I feel nervous, excited, scared, happy, and overwhelmed. It's a lot to feel at once.

Thank you to everyone that commented. It means a lot to me. Last night I found some blogs about my surgeon stating that he has a high number of infection rates, and it's absolutely terrifying. I looked over his work, and credentials. While he isn't board certified he does have 15 years of experience in plastics. It's comforting for the moment... I just hope he is everything that I believe him to be.

I only told two people about my surgery, my mother and my boyfriend. It is a very personal experience for me, and quite honestly, I don't want people judging me for wanting to look my absolute best. I'm not doing this to look good for my boyfriend, or other men. I'm not doing this to look better than other females. Women are all shapes and sizes, and that's awesome. All women are beautiful. The way I see it, is that I'm doing this for myself. To feel comfortable in my own body. I want to take off my own clothes, and exude confidence, instead of grabbing my fat and trying to find something to hide under, STAT. At the end of the day, it's my conscience that I have to deal with. I want this for me.

:D

Items Purchased:
-Memory foam pillow for the airplane
-Foam pads to put under my garment
-Two garments both from Leonisa
-Arnica (pills)
-Ibuprofen because I do not want to rely on Percocet
-Gauze pads + tape + Tegaderm (transparent sticky dressing)
-TEDs/anti-embolic stockings x 2
-Wee wee pads so I don't wet the bed... (I won't be getting a drain, so the surgeon will be leaving an open incision for drainage. I was told to expect about 1 L of fluid loss only during the first night)

I think those are the major things I bought. I didn't buy a back scratcher, which I'm regretting so bad, lol. If I remember anything else, I will come back with a quick update. Any questions? Please ask!

I have a few more hours to eat before I'm NPO... I've never been so nervous. My fingers are crossed.

How was everything? I can't decided if I want to go with spectrum or vanity. I know at vanity Osaka prices is 3900 vs spectrum is 4k. My consultant wants to schedule surgery on a Monday and told me to arrive Sunday in town so they would do pre op and surgery Monday but I've never heard of them doing it in the same day. Opinions

Hey girl! I can't complain. Getting better every day, one of the best decisions I've ever made... Still hoping my butt goes down though, lol. So yeah girl. I definitely got opinions and don't you do it. Get your labs done before you hop on that plane. If you have abnormal results, it needs to be investigated, if serious. If there is a problem at least you have given yourself sufficient time for treatment and to retake the labs. Make sure you get medical clearance before your surgery. No surgeon will operate on a patient without labs, it's malpractice. Plus, the day before surgery, you are NPO at midnight... If you need labs done on the same day, you'd have to wait hours, until you are cleared, assuming you have normal results. You do not want to be NPO for any longer than you should. My surgery was at 8am but I didn't go into the OR until 10AM. All I could think about was food. I didn't end up eating until after the surgery when I got home at 5PM. It sucked. I was starving and weak. I was able to get all of the paperwork and busywork done in 1.5 weeks of deciding I was going to get a BBL. It's definitely possible, just be smart about it and ask questions! Keep me updated!

Quick Update

letsdothis88
Hey Dolls!

I had my surgery yesterday, and let me tell you girls, it was no walk in the park. Physically and emotionally, I was not at all prepared. My surgery began at 10AM, and ended at 12PM. I stayed in the recovery room until 3PM. I was so weak and could not stop shivering. The nurses were amazing, I was incredibly lucky to have them by my side.

I went back to the hotel room, took all of my prescribed medications, and had some fluids. I was draining a lot and the pain was unbearable. From 4PM - 9PM I was screaming out in pain. The Percocet wasn't helping, so I combined it with 1000mg of Ibuprofen. That did the trick and I forced myself to eat and walk around. I would rest, eat, drink, rest, sleep, and then eat and drink. Now, I'm going to attempt to go back to the clinic so I can get a lymphatic massage. I hope they are open because they aren't picking up. Yesterday, I was told to swing by tomorrow for the massage, even the surgeon told me the same thing...

I will update again tonight. By the way, I look like I weigh 200 lbs. I'll try to take as many pictures as I can when I get back.

Thank you for all of your support. It means more to me than you know.

P.S. Dr. Omulepu was amazing. I'm pretty sure he was just having a bad day when I met him for his consultation.
