i'd like to know if new clothes had to be purchased. a good friend of mine keeps telling me after my procedure, i will to buy new clothes. i am currently 5'7/5'8 150 lbs. is that likely?

Hi Scottie, not likely you would have to buy new clothes....but your current clothes i think will just fit remarkably better...and because your figure looks better, i think you'd naturally wanna buy more figure flattering clothing....;0)

Hi EricaL, you should see my post pics right here on RS blog...as for before pics...i truly regret not keeping them....it would have shown all just how bad my figure and butt was...so I will try to paint a picture with words...picture 2 flat fried dough placed next to each other...and a double hook clothing rack right in the center (as the crack)...;(...u get the point...not a pretty picture..and one i did not want to remember...lol....hey good luck..be very clear what your expectations are with him and walk with a pic of what you want done so he has a visual...and you r both on the same page...but be realistic in your expectations...cuz bottom line (no pun intended) its based on several factors and mostly just how much fat you have to spare....good viable fat that is....keep us posted...he will do a good job though based on what he has to work with...so best of wishes!

Hi SSN thanks much for replying... those are my concerns, the fat factor. I had smart lipo done a couple of years ago so, he mentioned he will need fact from my legs. My concern is that I like my legs. Did he get fact from your legs too? and what type of picture did you bring with you? and was it on the day of the surgery?

I showed him a picture of what I wanted to achieve on my consultation...not the day of surgery...and he told me up front what he would be able to do...providing his examination of just what he had to work with...and I tell you..i had almost nothing left...I too had lipo done prior and he had to take from inner thighs...inner knee caps...and back mostly...and some from front tummy area..as I still had some left there....altho i wanted from arms and upper back..he discouraged it for the simple fact of healing..it would have been very difficult to handle all that trauma all at once...but I know to go for a second they would typically give you a much discounted price because its a 2nd and in a different area...so things you should think about...but if you are not big, and had prior surgery...just please be very moderate in your expectations....and if he doesnt have anywhere else to take from, then he will have to take from your legs and arms...just be sure you drive the process...i never believe in letting doctors tell me what they want to do...as long as there is no health risk associated with it...then you should be able to have a strong say in the matter...but just be realistic with what the final will be given that you may not have much to work with....this process is truly ideal for a person who's never had lipo and has a lot of good fat to work with...they benefit the most from this process...not the skinny chicks....;0(

I have the same situation you had as far as having had lipo before, I am 5'6 and about 146 pounds. As far as your legs are concerned, after the surgery did you notice a big difference in your legs, meaning, do they look thinner? are you happy with what he did to them? I appreciate you telling all of this, thank you! I know I can drive the process, but what if I tell him not to touch my legs and then he wont have enough fat to work with. I think I'd be happy with 500c in each cheek, as I barely have any fat back there :-( but I also think about my legs, which I really like. did he also work on your hips? would you mind telling me your age? hope to hear from you soon :-)

I am 40 years old and had skinny legs to begin with....my legs do look thinner...but i never was concerned about my legs...i like my legs...but i agree that if you tell him not to touch your legs, you run a great chance to have sooo little left to put in it may not be worth the effort....

Hi EricaLove...not professionally...just massaged out the areas on my own....its always good to do that especially to the areas that were lipo'd...massages helps to break up scarring underneath the surface to reduce any lumping that could result from scar tissue build up....

lol..no prob...I knew what you meant....I starting sitting on butt after 2 weeks...as I had to return to work...but from what the PS told me, there is no scientific proof that NOT sitting on the butt area causes it to reduce in size after surgery...the ask that you do not sit on it for the sole purpose of proper healing and reducing pressure to that area...I did purchase a blow up pillow and covered it with my T shirt and sat on it that way....i used the T shirt (black) to disguise it...so no one at the office even knew...ha ha....the most changes I have noticed is to the areas contoured...yes I have a little more butt, however its not as noticeable as I would have liked but its NOT because he didnt do a good job etc...its because the amount of good fat he had available was very little...so of course...with little fat, you can only expect very moderate results....i gained about 1" in protrusion...again, its not a miracle, but it was a natural gain/progression and still better than what I had before...which was none...I have zero regrets because my shape was really bad and didnt help with my overall look and esp not having a butt made it worst...now, i look so wonderful in clothing, especially dresses....my results now are pretty much the same...and if i started working out again...the shape/figure will only get better...i have not touched a work out in a year now...and thats weird for me...i am usually a work out-a-holic...but do plan on starting back this winter....but i love my new body...truly wished i did this in my younger years....but better late than never...now i can move on with my life and not be so self conscious....please let us know how things go and best of wishes....!!! keep us posted...

Hi SSN! Thanks so much for getting backnto me. I'm nervous as the day it's coming soon... As I had smartlipo before I to am in the same situation as far as good vs bad fat. I bought a boppy pIllowo and an inflatable donut, is that what you used? The boppy pillow is soft but the donut feels some what hard on my butt. Did I buy the right one? Also, how am i supposed to sit on them? Not sure how :-( if regular or if I need to sit on different positions? I'm not a workoutholic like you are, but I enjoy running from time to time, I wonder if it would be ok to run after the procedure , after like a month or so? I've gained weight been eating whatever I crave nothing unhealthy but I'm now 149 lbs. Im still a bit nervous about my legs as he will need to do my inner knees and thighs. How do your legs feel? Are they sore? Any pain? And how does your skin feel, on your legs that is. Are you still wearing your garment? Also, Regarding your butt, is the difference noticeable?

I bought the cheap blow up plastic one....I think you should return the hard one...you would sit on your back legs and keep pressure from sitting directly on the buttock...and lay down on your sides the rest of the time as much as possible...dont expect to start exercising anytime until about 2-3 months after...because it takes a while before your legs especially to feel normal....I guarantee you....you will know when its time to go back to regular routine....your legs may swell if you stay on them too long....so use this time to pamper yourself...but watch your food intake...as you will find yourself feeling extremely hungry...try to resist...i think its your body's way of trying to replace all this lost weight and fat...dont worry about the inner knees...that was so unnoticeable..but you'd be surprised, there is fat there...and actually my legs look so shapely...its one of the better post features too of my procedure...i have shapely legs now...so dont sweat that....and as mentioned, your legs will be sore and weird for at least 10 weeks ...not kidding...i tried to run after a month....ha...what a joke...swelling and pain like you wont believe...so dont mess with your body's time to heal...let it heal....my skin bounced right back...i think you will see more shapelier slimmer legs...but it will be positive changes....I trust Dr. T for the fact that he knows what needs tweaking from an aesthetic point of view for a shapelier look...so dont sweat the legs...they will only look more diesel...thats how mine look...you see the muscle more now cuz there's no fat there...LOL...I love it....Garment?...r u kidding...once my legs went back to normal...I stopped wearing...but the Garment is extremely helpful...so PLEASE KEEP WEARING...in fact...if you stop wearing before proper healing, you will be in pain...and body will feel very weird without the support...you can try going without and you will see what I am talking about. As for my butt...like you, becuz i didnt have much fat...it was not noticeable that i had any work done...but what people keep telling me is that i lost a lot of weight...which i didnt...and that I look sexy....ha...ha...so that gives you an idea of what to expect...and to me, thats very important....dont expect any major noticeable change to your butt...except you will notice the change as you know your body best...but people will notice something different...they just wont know what...and will comment you look fine...LOL...and to me, thats what we should expect with any procedure...natural positive change...

yes, you are def in the same weight and height ratio....and only a skilled surgeon would even approach a situation like us...most wont even do it as they dont see it worth their time....and folk may complain they didnt see sufficient results...so they avoid it completely...but Dr. T is in Miami beach and a lot of small women go to him for tweaks etc so they could parade the beaches of Miami...hey...the girls in Miami look great in bikini's...so he is very used to dealing with slimmer women who want this type of change and have minimal to give....but i do know he was very close to turning me away....but i insisted....even his nurse said, you are too small...lol...the only time in my life i didnt want to hear that...lol...but you will love your results...overall...you will be so shapely and feminine looking...oh and btw...when i went to the beach this summer...i looked so fantastic in a two piece and wore it with confidence...until before...so you will see and notice the changes yourself...but others will just see you as a great looking babe...lol...i love it!!!!hey why not....!

girl that is sooo awesome!...glad you made it out of the procedure safe and sound...its always a scary experience going under...and yes its very painful...it was for me...but the pain will begin to die down about a week...then the rest of discomfort and swelling will take about 8-10 weeks to completely feel normal where you can walk and stay on your feet longer...get rest, and Heal Heal Heal...use this time to pamper yourself...and get much needed R&R...enjoy that new body...!!!!
