Better but still hurts!

Well, everything is getting a little better each day. I got all stitches out two days ago, and last night I slept through the night for the first time since surgery! Yippee!! Everything is still sore, but tolerable. I still get major burning pain from the left breast incision. I keep the "single serving" frozen peas on hand and sort of tuck them in bottom of my bra, and that helps with the pain. I feel like the breast pain is getting worse in a way. Or maybe I just have a bigger range of motion and don't realize it? I'll reach for something on my bedside table or drop something and sort of jump to catch it and "OUCH!" there is this shooting pain though my chest. The doc released me from the binder to Spanx, but so far I am still wearing the binder. I am sort of used to wearing it over a tank, and honestly find it more comfy than Spanx. It's not like I am out of the house much anyway. And I thought I would be throwing away my Spanx after this surgery - LOL!

Thanks for your comments! Made me feel much better! I will only take one tablet & Advil before going this morning! Another question? Did you have a hard time sleeping? My back is sore & if I'm lucky I get about 1-2 hour sleep straight then the rest of the night I'm up while the whole house is sleeping. Should I be taking something to get to sleep? It's driving me crazy.

Ugghh!! Sleeping was the worst! I think I finally slept though the night on day 14 or so and was so excited! My PS prescribed Ambien, which helped me fall asleep/pass out for about 6 hours. By the 3rd night of Ambien it started making me jittery though, so I switched to Advil PM. That actually worked pretty well - I would (and still do) swap out one or two of my ibuprofen for the PM around bedtime. Again, that would get me though about 6 hours. Hang in there - the back pain gets better!! And good luck today with the drain removal :)

I am living in these pi's and loungewear post-op! So soft and not too expensive! I was an XS,S before and went with M bottoms and L tops, and the fit is good over swelling, binders, etc.

I sneezed for the first time today. I'm a triple sneezer. Afterwards I had to yell at my husband in his office "Honey I sneezed and didn't die!". I've been terrified to sneeze or cough for fear of the pain. I'm a big wimp. Glad you're feeling better. Slowly but surely we'll get through this!

Focusing on the positive!

Feeling a little better every day. I am honestly surprised at how much the boobs hurt (and still hurt!) given how many women of all ages undergo breast augmentations. But, I guess it would be more tolerable without the tummy binder, sore back, etc. And I am sort of a complainer and a big wimp when it comes to pain - lol! But, the positives 10 days post-op:
- I am loving having boobs again, even though they are sore.
- I am able to drive! Yesterday I went to the blo salon to have my hair washed and then to my son's end of camp presentation. Somewhat normal again!
-I can sit on the floor with youngest and play, stand back up, pick stuff up, get in and out of chairs, beds, etc.
- Sneezing and coughing isn't as painful as the first few days (holy moly!)
I know every recovery is different, but I planned to be "out" for a full three weeks at least, so I am pleasantly surprised by this. Don't get me wrong, I am exhausted and just about crawling into my bed at 8 PM every evening.
Happy Saturday beautiful ladies! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
