I am a mother of a 6 yr old and a 4 yr old. When I got pregnant with my first child I weighed 120lbs and before I gave birth I was 178lbs. Now 58 lbs added to my 5" 4" frame did not go so well to say the least. I remember my sister's boyfriend telling me I still looked pregnant months after giving birth and new clients at work asked when I was due. After my second child, I lost most of the belly fat but the skin was even more stretched out, sagging and looked horrible. That's when I made my decision to get a tummy tuck.
I need my flat belly back!!!!
I'm scheduled for my pre-op visit on march 22. I'm so excited.

Today I did my blood work in preparation for next Friday. I wasn't scared like I always am when it came to needles, in fact, I was excited.
Oh boy!!! After I did it, my nerves kicked in and I started feeling nervous about next friday. Good thing it's a week away. Pre-op visit is on friday. Yaaayyy!!!!

Pre-op visit went well today and everything is on track for the big day. I almost cried leaving his office. I wish the surgery day was tomorrow. Now I have to wait a whole week. Hope it goes by fast.

Today I told my 4 yr old I'll be going to the doctor on Friday and she asked "are you going to have the baby now?" What baby?? Friday cannot come any sooner. Aaaahhhh! This belly has to go.

I am so pleased with the way they dealt with me. From arriving and being prepped, to being in the surgery room up until recovering from anesthesia I have no complaints. So far I can see the results. Dr. Morrison is awesome. The recovery hasn't been too bad. I'm good :)

Did my post op visit on April 2nd and it went well. I finally got to see my belly and I love it. All my stretch marks are gone! My tattoo too...lol

I am now 12 days post op I did my second post op visit yesterday. I was cleared to take a shower which I'm happy about. He removed my drains and I'm a lot more comfortable. I thought it would make me sleep better but I didn't. Hopefully it is better tonight. Well...it's a warm day in NY and I'll be going out to enjoy it. Happy healing my tt sisters!!

Everyday it gets a little better. This healing process is sooo long. Never really anticipated the whole thing. Being told that after about 3 wks I can go back to my normal routine I thought I'd be better on the swelling side of things. My lower back is still super swollen from the lipo. I'm tired of wearing yoga pants and tights. Now I'm scared I may not be ready for my trip coming up next month :(

19 days post op today and progress is slow but I'm being patient. Yesterday I wore jeans for the first time since my surgery. So far I am pleased with the results. The silicone pads my ps gave me he said is to help keep my skin smooth under the binder. But at the same time it is helping to make my waist smaller. It makes the binder a lot tighter and uncomfortable but no pain, no gain...right? My lower ab is swollen but I'm making progress. My lower back is also still swollen from the lipo he did there. Just updated new pics.

23 days post op and sleeping is getting a lot better now. Also I've been off any kind of pain killer for over a week. I have an appt on Tuesday with my ps to check on my progress. Sitting for a period of time and then getting up causes me to hunch a bit until I straighten out a few minutes after. The binder is a lot easier to wear now so I think I need to go a bit smaller. I noticed it is a size medium so I think it's time for a smaller one. I'm curious to see how small my waist can get. Happy healing to all my Tt sisters and good luck to all the aspiring ones. It's a great feeling being on the flat side.

Did my follow up today with the wonderful Dr. Morrison and in his words I look "fantastic". My healing is coming along the way it should. He said the garment is needed for 6 wks after which it is not mandatory...thank God! I'm happy with the results so far and I am glad I did it. Time for swim suit shopping. Yaaay!!
Today I hit the 4 wks mark and it feels great....

I'm 2 days shy of 5 wks but I'm still swollen in my lower back and belly. I have yet to fit in my pre-op jeans and I'm tired of wearing tights and sweatpants :( I caught a cold (which I was avoiding since day 1 of the surgery) and it still hurts to cough and sneeze. After almost 5 wks I'm just bummed out I have yet to button my pre-op jeans. This swelling is getting on my nerves!!

Hey Ladies!! So I'm 2 days shy of 6 wks post op. The last 3 wks have gone by so fast. The first 2 wks seemed to crawl by. Ugh!
So far I am elated with the results. I'm 100% happy with the decision to go ahead with the surgery. I you was so self conscious before.
My construction garment got wet so I can't sleep in it. I'm a little nervous about bit sleeping without it even though my doc said I could stop wearing it at 6wks post op. I'll post pics soon

*7 wks post op* Not much has really changed since my last update. I'm still wearing my construction garment with silicone pads at night but not so much during the day. The swelling is improving and I see changes every week. I'm back to doing my regular stuff but I try not to lift heavy things. When I do I feel tension in my abdomen and it freaks me out. I was told by my ps that I don't have to wear my cg after 6 weeks but I feel like I still need to wear something. Maybe it was the lipo he did or just the tt but I need something. The one he gave me zips at the side and closes at the crotch too ( which I'm tired of). What is a good stage 2 garment? Please help!
Rash on my scar

My scar became very itchy which I figured was normal. The itching progressively got worse and when I looked closer at it I noticed a rash. The rash began to spread along the incision line. Can you imagine how freaked out I am? I'm clueless as to what is causing this. The only thing I put on it is mederma which I've been using a few weeks now. I'm going to the pharmacy to see what cream I can get to help.
