Hi everyone sorry I haven't updated this in years but I just wanted to say that life is great! Having a tummy tuck was the best decision I could of made. I wore a belly shirt out for the first time the other night and it felt great! people were telling me how great I look. There is no price for self confidence so if you feel like you need a tummy tuck of breast lift or implants or anything else to make YOURSELF feel better about YOURSELF… GO FOR IT! you only live once so why live your life not feeling good about yourself! good luck to you all :)

I paid about $5,200, I am sure the price has went up by now but shouldn't be to much more and should still be a lot less than a regular plastic surgeons prices.
You lol great!! What was your weight before surgery. I am thinking of making a consult appt. I am 5'4 and weigh 180.
I think I was about 170-175 before surgery, my surgeon wanted me to lose 10 lbs before surgery, I lost 5. They will ask you if you're comfortable with your weight now, honestly if you feel that you want to loose more weight if do it before surgery. I'm also 5'4"

Hi ladies just an update. I am finally able to go without my compression garmet however I feel like my stomach has become a bit swollen. My boss who is a dentist lol said that it's probably normal and itll go down. Does anyone know if this is normal? I just came back from California and finally wore a 2 piece for the first time in my life and it felt great! I went back to the gym yesterday and am about to go to the gym tonight also! I'll post a bikini pic from Cali also!

hello Amanda , how are you doing , hope all is going very well for you, I just want to share with you my tummy tuck experience, on 7/10/12 I had my consultation at Lenox Hill Hospital and I am very exited to tell you that I am having my surgery on 8/7/10 the Dr. was very nice and she made me feel very comfortable ,she answer all my questions and the best part is that she told me that I was a perfect candidate and that I was going to be happy with my results I am so exited please wish me luck. take care and keep feeling well. :)

Hi Isaary If you don't mind sharing what was your measurement before your surgery (Height and Weight). I am 5'8' and 190 pounds. I don't have much of a stomach its just the stretch marks (I hate the stretch marks) that I have that I don't like and a little pooch. I have been to 3 consults in MD and they all told me that I could get the surgery done at the weight I am but they cost so... much. So, now I am traveling to NY for consults at resident specialty hospitals. I have been reading a few post with some of the ladies stating that they were told to loose weight. I do exercise on a regular and happy with my curves (I could stand to loose about 10 pounds,lol) but anyways I don't want to be rejected because they are telling me that I have to loose weight.
Hey, Amanda1313, you look great. My question is do you have an option to go home the same day of surgery instead of staying at the hotel across the street? I live just a few train stops away from the hospital and about 15 min by car. I really don't want to spend the extra money if I don't have 2.
@justme001 thank you! They probably get asked that question by everyone who has a consultation at Lenox Hill lol but no you can't not go home and believe me when I say you will not want to go home. Trust me because I wanted to save every cent I had and swore I could make it to my brothers which is 10 minutes away but all I wanted to do was sleep and relax. So spend the hotel money and relax lol pls keep us all posted on your progress
LOL, Yeah we all want to save that extra cash towards buying a new wardrobe to fit the new body. I guess it is what it is and it's for the best :-)
