I developed synkinesis after surgery for an acoustic neuroma. Working with a facial reanimation specialist at UW, Dr Lucarelli is the only doctor that has improved my appearance. I tried other doctors closer to home at his suggestion and using his charts but no one came close to his results. He understands the face. I travel to him twice a year from Florida!

There was no pain or downtime. The parts of my face that were moving incorrectly because of synkinesis were paralyzed and now do not move, i.e. my eye doesn't close when I smile or my neck pull down. My face does not distort as much.
