You're welcome! I used Mederma & Palmers Vitamin E oil. Also massaging the scar is very important in the first few months - I truly believe that helps - I wish I did it more. Just rub the scar for a few minutes at bedtime or whenever you can. I am at 11 & 1/2 months post op & my scar did not heal well (due to tension - I accidently straightened the 2nd day after my surgery), so I am actually having my scar revision surgery tomorrow! Definately be careful not to try to straighten too soon or put tension on your scar. Most people heal very well & do not need scar revision.

Welcome! Tips for preop - a recliner for sleeping helped me, as well as cooking and freezing meals ahead of time. Taking help and being patient as you can - this surgery takes quite some recovery time. gas x pills for the first week really helped me, as I was so bloated when I ate. Not sure when you can go in a hot tub - I am sure your PS can give you the ok for that. Good luck and keep us posted!

Ok Ladies, I have a question, Does anyone know...

Ok Ladies, I have a question, Does anyone know what is done if I have My period on the day of my procedure? The reason I ask is because I have been Charting my temperature for over a Year, and according to my records I am scheduled to have my Cycle The same day as my Surgery. Will My procedure need to be rescheduled or will they allow me to use a pad during surgery? I know this may be TMI, but I would like to know if any of u had this to happen before. I was also wondering How Long will it take for me to start walking upright instead of hunched over after surgery>
They will still perform surgery if you have your period. I think they will catheterize you during surgery, so I am not sure how that will affect it. I am sure they will give you a pad during and after surgery. Usually the average time it takes to walk upright is within one month. Please do not try to straighten up too soon - that may have contributed to my scar stretching out - I was so anxious to stand straighter, I may have pushed myself too soon! I just had scar revision surgery yesterday - it was so stretched out and thick! The main reason being I had major tension on the scar the 2nd day post op when the nurse moved me too soon and I flew straight back onto the bed in pain! Anyway, each day you will notice that you are standing a little straighter, until one day you look at yourself and realize you are straight! Good luck!!

Hello Ladies, As my day approaches for surgery I...

Hello Ladies, As my day approaches for surgery I am feeling very nervous... I would like to MEntion that my doctors staff are the worst Staff I have ever dealt with in my life. They seem so unprofessional and uneducated. On the paper work that u fill out I had to list all of my Meds that I am on, Which I did yet they all failed to tell me that I had to be off Blood thinners for at least two weeks prior to surgery (Thank God I knew better and stopped almost a month ago). I Think its crazy how their demeanor changes once they have your cash in their hands...I called and left a message the other day and to my surprise no one called me back, when I was finally able to speak to someone the B$#%CH had the nerves to have an attitude with me...I was just saying to myseld is this B$#%H serious??? I Was ready to call the PS to let him know but something todl me to just let it slide. How is it that they have me scheduled for surgery but no one gives me information on things to avoidprior to the procedure? That really leaves me to wonder if I chose the right doctor/staff for surgery? Anyways guys My "Friend" came today and it is causing my hormones to be all over the place.I am going to purchase some Vitamin C to help with recovery. My Mother In LAw will be at my house to help out with the kids after surgery (Thank God for her). Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction will be in 3 days. I'm gonna add some more pics in swim wear so that we can see some before and after pics... Happy HEaling ladies

Hi girl....my friend came yesterday too! I figure that I should call the office tomorrow to ask....I know they will still do the surgery, just not sure how that will work.

I am sorry the people in the office are being so rude....that is frustrating! Don't forget that I am having my TT on the same day...so, feel free to message me if you have any issues or have advice :)

My preop directions: I was given some sort of soap to wash with on Weds night, told to get into clean pjs and clean sheets, and then get up and wash with it the next morning before I leave for surgery. Then, I was told to wear a button up shirt, loose pants, warm socks, and flats for after surgery. Those two zanexs that I was told to take are sure going to help my nerves!!

Hello Ladies, I had my pre-op appointment today,...

Hello Ladies, I had my pre-op appointment today, and all went well. I was advised to be at the hospital at 6 a.m. I will see my doc and the anesthesiologist prior to surgery. I am not sure how many hours my procedure is scheduled to last, but my tummy tuck portion was listed for 3 hours. I made my payment that was due to the hospital in full which allowed me to get a small discount on the breast reduction portion. I am having a Breast Reduction, Tummy Tuck, Muscle Repair, and Lipo..Anyways ladies make sure and keep me in prayer, also I wanted to share a small prayer with you all.... Our Father who is in Heaven, I ask you to be in total control of everything that happens in the Operating room tomorrow morning, I ask you to guide the surgeons hands during my procedure that his work will be done to perfection lord and that all the aches and pain in my body will be gone as well, Watch over my loved ones so that their minds will be at peace as I am operated on, Please forgive me for any sins that I may have commited, I ask you that If I shall die before I awake I pray the Lord my soul to take...In Jesus name I pray, Amen!!....I'll be staying overnight at the hospital,k but I will have my Laptop and will update you ladies as soon as I can.
Good luck, you will be fine and looking great!! welcome to the flat side!! Keep us posted

Hello Ladies, I am currently 4 days post tummy...

Hello Ladies, I am currently 4 days post tummy tuck and breast reduction and I must say that today has been a turning point. I am feeling alot better (although I'm still in pain) I am able to move around more and my body is not acheing as bad as it was before. I am so lucky to have a great support team at home. I do feel bad because I can see that my 10 year old is very scared for me with all the pain that I have been experiencing, he gave me a HUGE KISS and said "Mommy I am so happy that u are back home".... Well I was advised to be at the hospital for 6 am but once I got there I sent to a room and was advised that I am actually the 2nd surgery for my surgeon today and that it would not be until around 11 a.m... I was a bit disappointed that I had to be there so early but in a way it worked out well because I was able to catch up on some sleep as I was unable to sleep the night before. I saw my surgeon around 11 is he did all the markings on me and then I was sent down to meet with the Anesthesiologist. I then signed some paper work and was rolled into the operating room. I remember hearing them say I will need to switch over to another table and I was Out.. When I woke up in recovery I was in ALOT OF PAIN. MY arms felt stiff and I was unable to really move, All I remember doing was Crying about how much pain I was in. They gave me some more meds and I was knocked out after a while...My surgery lasted approximately 7 hours total. My Doc said that I am going to love my results (I Think thats what they all say). He said my stomach is as flat as a board and my breasts are standing up tall. He removed 380 grams from the left and 300 from the right. He said he had some issues with getting the 300 from the right, but was able to do so at the end of the day.He also touched both my nipples and I did have sensation in both (I am happy about that) and he said that my belly button survived and it is a nice diamand shape). The most of my pain is in my Abdominal area, and my Pu$$y feels real swollen. I had a catheter in me for the first 24 hours after surgery so that may be the reason as to why I am irritated down below. I was able to wash up a little yesterday and today with a wash rag.. I think my breasts looks kind of small but I am hoping that it fits my body frame..

Ladies when I tell you, that I think I made the best decision on my surgeon I am so serious, He is the BEST!! I just paged him a few minutes ago and in less than 2 minutes he returned my call. I Told him that my Vaginal area feels really strange its very swollen and irritated. He ask if I just noticed this and I told him no but it feels strange and this morning the swelling went down some but it is still a bit swollen and feels extremely dry. He said it may be due to the way the compression garment is sitting on my vagina. He said that if I am still in Pain tomorrow to call him so he can take a look at it because he will be in the Operating roomall day today. I will go back to see him on Friday where I will take a look at my scars. I will also add some pics :-)
congrats! our before bellies were the same! hang in there 8)

My PS seems to be a well educated man and very professional yet funny. He has been able to keep a smile on my face throughout my enitre process. I recommend him to anyone in Middle G.a looking to have cosmetic work.
