Love my New Nose

Worth It
Spent: $4,000 in Los Angeles, CA

I used to have a huge nose. It was thick, large and widely spread across my face. As a result, it drew a lot of attention and naturally made me uncomfortable. I could see that whenever people approached me, their eyes would be stuck at my nose in amusement. My nostrils were super huge too. I just had to get a nose job. I have grown up being teased about my nose and now i made up my mind that no more was i going to take it.

I went to a doctor in LA who was very good. He drew and showed me the shape he would be giving and also explained  to me what kind of a nose would suit my facial features the most. I thought his personal interference and suggestions were very kind and it made me very comfortable.  I was not given a general anesthesia, but was given a local one and was also quite  sedated. It was given in the iv so i was asleep throughout the surgery.

When i woke up i had a bandage and a splint on my nose that i was asked to keep on for a week. I was in the recovery room for about an hour or so after which i left. ( i was told not to drive so my girlfriend came with me). I felt sick for that whole night. Some mucus came out of my nose, i threw up once which made my nose hurt quite a bit. I also had a bad headache that whole night.

By morning i was totally ok with just a mild headache. My face was kind of stiff for a few days and it hurt when the splint was removed the next week. My nose just looked so different after the swelling went away that i could not even believe it. I was so happy that i forgot all about the pain i had. I look so good now. My nose is nice, thin, straight and perfect for my face. I look like a whole new person and a great one at that.

It might have been a bit uncomfortable during the recovery, but the end results were so good that it all seems worth it now. I love my new nose.

Hi babalulu, We do allow discussions about doctors in certain areas. For example, reviewers have the option to name their doctor (this particular reviewer didn't, but that information would appear above the review). Two areas that may be of interest to you: Doctor Recommendation Forum Ask for a recommendation on our QandA form Hope this helps! --Sharon

well I had Rhinoplasty performed quite a short while ago on June 23, 2 days after my birthday actually so I am now 16. It cost me exactly $5,020. I as well experienced vomiting and it was horrible because I vomited blood 4 or 5 times for the first day I got out of the surgery center it hurt my nose as well but I was under Hydrocodone so it wasn't severe pain only a tad amount of pain, but I didnt have any headaches and at least I knew minutes before that I was going to vomit again by my heart pulsing faster. After that day, I didnt experience anything much except for really itchy skin which was a side effect from Hydrocodone. But gosh I couldn't give a great laugh because it hurt my nose so i couldn't see Ellen DeGeneres show lol. But yeah it didnt hurt and during the surgery if felt like I was asleep for 10 minutes and I dont even remember falling asleep. my nose now looks much better, it used to be larger and now its straighter and smaller although its pretty much swollen right now. My bruising went away extremely fast (it may have been because I had ice on for hours and reloaded with more ice... but gosh that packing they put inside the nose was horrible because I had to breathe through my mouth and it went dry so I would wake up every hour with a dry mouth. you dont feel pain practically at all because of the medication.
