Well I just turned 40 and I have been thinking about a breast reduction for a while. I'm 5'4" 155-160(ish) 2 kids 2 divorces. Can blame the pregnancies for the stretch marks but the weight gain is alllll me. After my second child(I was 32) I went back down to 135-140 no prob but around 36 the weight gain just didn't come off as easy as it used to.Tried dieting -AGAIN- and just can't do it-- I HATE dieting. I've been working out(strenth training/cardio) 3 days a week with a professional jui jitsu instructor so I am toned and in the best physical shape I've been I since my 20's ! Decided to go for tummy tuck and lipo along with the breast reduction because I want my body to be in proportion, not have small boobs and bigger belly ! I am very nervous and excited at the same time. I have been stalking REALSELF for a few months and have learned soooo much.I will do my best to share my experience with you brave gals : )

just added another procedure-the ultrasound of my boobs found Papillomas-they need to be remove as a precaution but can be done same time as TT,MR,hernia repair & breast reduction

Had a few days of the "why am i doing this" but now I'm back to excited.

2 weeks 4 days post op. First week was hell. Pain, discomfort , misery. I had no idea it would have been that bad BUT now I'm feeling much better ( about 55%). You def need help for at least 2 weeks you can't do much. I regret not getting electric lift recliner. I had Toilet seat riser and a walker only used for a week and a half but def need a seat in the shower it wears u out and u need to rest. Compression garment helps w swelling but takes some getting used to. I'm also down 13 lbs :)
If anyone has questions please contact me. PS I'm a strong, in shape 40 yr old I wanted more kids at 36-38 but it didn't work out so I can't imagine doing this before 40.
I will post pics soon.

Thank you for starting your story on RealSelf! It sounds like you've been working really hard to get in shape and so why not sculpt your body to look the way you want it to?

Will you be posting your before and after photos so we can witness your transformation?
