I had my implants put in when I turned 30 as a treat to myself. I have always had small breasts and after breast feeding 3 children and being left with less than before I decided that I would bite the bullet and go for implants - everyone seemed to be doing it at the time and I felt that the risk was minimal.......8 years later I found I had PIP.

I did as everyone else did I am sure at this discovery - went through a variety of emotions ranging from shock, to fear to shame and then finally to a feeling of certainty that I would no longer allow this problem be a burden to me (I previously used to have times of guilt when I thought what I had done to my healthy body and was shamed by it) so I decided to get them removed.
I thank all of you lovely ladies who posted your images onto this site as without you, your honesty and your journey details I might not have felt as strongly as I did. That is also the reason that I am writing my story as I feel that it is important for other women to know that they have a choice and don't have to go for a replacement - you will like the result without the implants.

I returned to my clinic and thankfully had a surgeon (Dr Nathan) who appears to prefer natural looking breasts, he reassured me that mine would return to pre op status and I would not need a lift - he also showed me images of woman who had had removals in the past - whilst he did not say mine would be perfect (they wern't before) he did not say they would be awful or that I would regret - he was confident that I would not be disappointed. Tranform agreed to remove them for free - I just need a capsulotomy to the cost of £250. I booked myself in for the soonest appointment available.

2 Weeks ago I had them removed at at the transorm clinic in London. Thus far I am happy with the results. I went for my check up with the nurse yesterday and all is well.

My breasts are the same shape as previously and my clothes fit so much better! I have returned to work (after 2 days) and have had no pain nor discomfort (apart fromt eh scars itching now! Driving me nuts!) and have not had to take pain killers as have felt very good.

The look and size of my breasts I am happy with - although it took me 3 days to look at them without a bra (more because I am a wimp than anything else and was scared!) I have a dip in htem where I would expect to have one and would not be disappointed if they did not "fluff" as many speak of, as I am sure that this is what they would have been like anyway.
I am very happy now to be all woman without a foreign body in me - I am healthy, recovering and looking foward - anyone who is considering removal with no replacement, I would advise that you do it - you will not regret it - Choose LIFE!
I taken pictures which I will upload later.

Well I have finally loaded the images - sorry it...

Well I have finally loaded the images - sorry it has taken so long but life and a lost camera wire got in the way!

Good luck to all those who are considering removal at the moment. x
