Had Septo-rhinoplasty with Basim Matti. Big mistake!!
After it goes wrong you realise just how naive you have been. Rhinoplasty is a very risky procedure especially when you choose the wrong Doctor.
After my rhinoplasty I was left with a heavily scared and very thin nose. It certainly doesn't look natural. I definitely would not recommend Dr Basim Matti.
Clever marketing would have you believe he is some kind of expert. Maybe I'm just very unlucky. However I have subsequently found numerous bad reviews and very few decent before and after pics.
I want to have a revision but its difficult to find the confidence to go through with it. Right now I'm in a state of limbo.
Any suggestions for a good surgeon for a revision rhinoplasty would be most welcomed. I am seriously considering Dr Bustillo in Miami.

I went to Basim Matti as I thought he was the best person for the job, like you I thought he didn't seem to listen, that he had already decided what he was doing, and did not have good patient skills, and I also felt rushed. I was shown pictures of what my nose would look like, but it looks nothing like it, two years later. I also agree he is not discreet with patient records.
I had an infection in my nose from the implant and it still gets infected periodically. I had lumps and bumps on my nose. When I went back I was given a cortisone injection which I was charged for. If I lived nearer London I would be visiting regularly for the infection, however it is a 5 hour journey, and difficult to get time off work. Also my profile is not great and when I saw him, for the cortisone injection he was talking about redoing my nose, although before the operation he was telling me how dangerous it was to have the operation due to blood supply issues which increase with each operation, which frightened me at the time. If you send me your email address I will forward my photos to you. I am seeing a Dr in Glasgow in the next month and would be interested to see if he will comment on my nose. If so I will let you know.
