I didn't think I needed much work on my nose but...

I didn't think I needed much work on my nose but after my consultation with the p.s. I realised that I needed quite a bit of work done! Its strange because even though I was so critical of my nose pre-op, I had got used to a lot of the bad aspects of it. Anyway, I had it done under a local anaesthetic with sedation, I didn't experience any distress or discomfort during the op even though I was conscious, in fact I can't even remember most of the time I was in theatre. I had a cast on for a week afterwards. My mose was rather squashed after the cast came off and I must admit that I got a bit of a shock when I first saw it, but then the doctor explained to me that it was squashed because the cast was pinching is and strapping it down to prevent swelling. The doctor told me that it would take about 12 months to see the final result and it sounds strange but my nose did change a lot and rather quickly in the first 2 or 3 months after the op. It just looked better and better all the time, then the changes slowed down and now its been just over a year and the results are great! I can't believe that I did not have it done sooner. My nose used to dominate my face before and now it suits my face much better.
