The procedure was done under anesthesia, as I was having other thing done at the same time. Once I woke up, my lip was slightly swollen but very reasonably so. I could have gone socializing straight away. In two days all the swelling went done. The whole procedure was so easy and pain free I do not know what else to say. I was positively surprised and totally impressed that I did not need to hide my face for days!!! Dr Ashok knew exactly what he was doing, as he placed half of the biggest Surgisil implant (5mm cut half) inside my lip and looks like my body has nothing against silicone as the healing seemed to start straight away. Comparing to restylane which I tried once and had monkey looking face for a week with awful tingling inside my skin and outbreaks inside my lip, this lip implant felt like nothing and . It is a week now after the surgery and there sensation in lips is back to normal. I am so glad i did this, and I never again need to think about having thin upper lip.

Hi all! Just a quick update on my implant. I do not feel it or think about at all. I think the results are so natural and feels good, never questioned my choice of doing this. I am considering an upgrade on the size of the implant though. Now that I know my lips did not react badly on implant, I can go bigger within natural looking range.

I have done many procedures with Dr. Ashok. He is the best!!! All I can say about the lip implant procedure that nowadays I have the most gorgeous, full and natural upper lip instead of this aging old thin line called upper lip. Love the results! Highly recommended doctor and highly recommended procedure. Wins Restylane with flying colors.

Hi! and thanks for your comment! I think my surgeon would be better on to answer that, but let me examine. I think it is quite on the middle. I think this permalipp has been great, I only have it on my upper lip. I think in the future I will increase the volume, within the limits of looking natural still.

Your results are lovely! I just had my permalip repositioned (it kept sliding off to one side) but I'm not totally convinced about its placement in my upper lip. Would you mind telling me exactly where your upper lip implant was positioned? Was it in the middle of the lip or the upper portion, near the vermillion border? Thanks in advance for your response and enjoy your great pout!

Certainly Dear, I will keep you posted. At least I am great example of a person who did not like Restylane and really thought Restylane ruined my looks as the reaction then was something very scary and unbearable when I had it two years ago. But I will keep you posted. I find all the injectables quite scary (inclusive Botox, which I also tied once) and I will never go back to them, as they feel (to me) something very unnatural to put on face at least.

Funny enough I am fully used to it already, took about a week. I hardly feel it and it looks totally natural, not a duck lip at all, the look I hate. I wish i had done it long long time ago.
This is certainly a procedure I will gush about to everybody!!!

That is so great to hear!! I would love it if you would continue to update us on how you are doing over the long run (like in 6 months, a year, etc). It seems if this is something people are happy with in the long run it might very well be a better way to go than fillers cost wise.
