I had eyelid surgery a month ago and so far I'm very pleased with the results. I'm in my early fifties and, consequently, I had been noticing how my eyes, little by little, have been showing my real age, even though I have succeeded in concealing it for many years. No one could really tell that I'm 54 already. I look much younger. But anytime I had a picture taken, I noticed tired eyes and bags under them. I asked myself,, do I really look that old? I had the guts and overcame my fear and decided to undergo this surgery because some of my friends had already had it, and the results were awesome. I couldn't notice any scars on their eyes or anything else that revealed they had undergone eyelid surgery. The surgery didn't last so long, and I can't say that it was that painful. I felt a little discomfort when I had the injections for the anesthesia and also when the doctor removed the fat of my bags. Other than that, it was OK. My recovery didn't last long either and besides of the normal swelling, I can't either say, as other patients, that I had bruising. I only had two little purple circles under my eyes that remained for a couple of days and that's it. What I didn't know was that I would have two little scars on the sides of my eyes. This is the only unexpected thing, and so far, I'm wearing my glasses and put on some make up to conceal the scars. However, my doctor has told me that they will eventually go, and I hope they go soon. Otherwise, wouldn't be worth to have the eyelid surgery. I'm waiting patiently for this to happen, but I do really recommend this surgery, but with the right doctor. Something else, I was also afraid to undergo the surgery because of my severe dry eyes, but it hasn't been a problem at all. My eyes are fine, beautiful, and I think I look younger, and I'm not scared of having pictures of me taken anymore. I think I look good. I will try to post some before and after pictures.
