“Life style lift: dont do it!!!!!! see my photo's!!!!!!”

Lifestyle lift: NOT worth it

Cost: $3,000
Pain: Severe
Lifestyle lift satisfaction: Poor1 Star Rating: Poor

I was left with terrible scars and given absolutely no post op care instructions at all. In the 3 years since I have had this surgery I have felt humiliated and ugly.

Finally I have taken some steps to repair the damage, which was significant. I am spending about $3000 to $4000 in laser which I highly reccomend.

I am starting to feel a little less self conscience about the horrific results I got... and I have the pictures to prove it.

look at my pictures and tell me: who in their right mind would do this and expect a person to heal from this type of incision and suturing???

I was butchered.

Updated on Dec 24, 2008:

obviously even post op laser treatment was only able to minimally help the very poor job that was done on my face.

Life Style Lift did not offer or care to help repair the damage. They basically said tough luck sweetie----

NEXT IN LINE PLEASE!

UGH, I WILL FEEL UGLY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

I also was cut around the ears. Altho my incisions are not nearly as bad as UglyScars are, they are bad. My stiotches are coming thru as dark bumps behind my ears.. We went to LSL cause they ADVERTISE as a simple procedure taking 10 yrs off our lives. We were told small incisions in front of the ears, in the creases & back to work the next day. We were told 'WE HIRE THE BEST OF THE BEST PLASTIC SURGEONS'... We believed the DOCTOR. What happened to his hippocratic oath not to do harm? What they gave us was a lower face-lift without our PERMISSION. Yes, we signed papers consenting, but those papers NEVER said hack off your ears! All we had was what we were told by the consultants, techs & DOCTOR.. Again, because this was to be a simple incision& we were told it WAS a Plastic surgeon, why would we check up . I've never had a Dr I didn't believe. I may have questioned whether he understood my problem, but never have I had a dr that I believed would lie to me or harm me.. We know alot more now than back then. It was all a ' play on words '... Because we signed the consent, it is our word against theirs& believe me they have lots of lawyers. They give the word """SUE""" new meaning.. The reason malpractice Dr's don't want to get involved is because of the consent forms we signed agreeing to the "LSL"", not a lower facelift. They misled us, lied & used us , false advertising gimmicks & fast talkers. They make used car dealers look petty. As I've said, there are some good plastic surgeons w/ LSL. But there are some bad ones. Also.. Just because you have a board cert. P.S. doesn't mean they are good at what they do. Look at every profession. Our only fault was believing in what they told us.......... Why do you think a Dr's office would have to send our medical records to their LEGAL DEPT if they are all good& on the up& up?????? They provide their employees w/ an internal memo on what to 'do if a patient requests their LSL records'... SEND TO LEGAL! I saw it with my own eyes& I challenge LSL to dispute this. I'd be willing to take lie ditector tests to prove that.. What dr's do any of you go to, to get a medical record, that tells you it has to go to their legal department BEFORE we can get them? What a joke!!!!! Do i sound angry? Oh yeah! I was duped by a large marketing medical corporation meat market that plays on our insecurities of aging with falsehoods. I also feel very stupid& I hope LSL gets what they deserve.

McKen& Truecolors--- McKen, you are so right about not seeing the scars behind the ears. I'm not the excorcist& can't turn my head all the way around, so I didn't know either.Because the front incisions hurt, it's not like you eve want to move the ear> ouch..... TrueColors-- Thanks for your support. You seem like a great person& I do appreciate your kind words. Instead of lawyers, picketing, etc, I chose to report to the state, which is what I tell all that feel duped & hurt& deformed to do. They will get to the bottom of it& then we can take it from there.

These guys have quite a racket going on! Cosmetic procedures for lower-income women on payment systems. Lower-income women who won't be able to afford good attorneys. They know it is almost impossible to get rid of bad docs. The salespeople get you in the door and the poorly-trained, hurried surgeon doesn't care about you at all. They aren't really operating under their own name anyway--but under a corporate umbrella of protection for their incompetence. I think a good surgeon would have a real practice and not be part of some factory. I wonder how the docs are paid, and how much commission the sales people get for signing you up for the special that you have to sign up for right away? It's like getting surgery from a used-car lot. No post-op follow-up? That is just unheard of. Who owns this place? They are clearly all about profit and have no consideration or desire to help patients. I suspect the surgeons can never be found again because they are running through back-to-back surgeries all day, hoping to make a little money and get out of there. They don't have to worry about the bad work--they aren't seeing you again. Kind of like going through a drive-through. The food is usually a little staler than if you eat in the restaurant. After all, you're driving away and are less likely to turn around to complain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.Anyone who has surgery and does not check into the surgeon's credentials, and any claims against him, are foolish. The physicians pay LifeStyle for the advertising to get clients to come in. All these concerns and questions should be asked by the patient to the doctor on his consultation. Notes should be written and comments recorded. Your dealing with your face here, and you gotta wear it for the remainder of your life.

No post-op follow-up? I am very furious about my situation---I consider myself as well educated --the surgeon that did my surgery was triple board certified....and I can assure you... I had NO FOLLOW UP CARE WHATSOEVER-- I cant find a single attorney with the courage to help me prosecute these people. In my opinion the attorneys are as bad as the Life style life people. they are COWARDS.... please look at my picutes.... I have spent to date $5000 to have the scars repaired...it is a slow expensive process and I have seen some improvement with laser. ( painful and expensive but worth it so far)

I apologize if I came across the way it written as insulting. It bugs the heck out of me that people can get away with this practice and causing suffering and disfigurement. I guess I was lucky, but my doctor was very up front telling me, "I do it the right way, not the way some people do." No cuts in front of my ears at all. I do have some scaring around the back, but my haircut hides them. I went back to him and told him the lower part of my earlobes hurt from the hard scars. He had me come back 3 mos. in row and injected prednesone (?) behind there (no charge). They are now feeling so much better. You know what they say about lawyers. There has to be some class action suit going against this company. I truly wish you well and hope you win the fight.
