Did it to lengthen eyelashes and experienced severe headache and neck pain.....I contacted the clinic where I purchased the Latisse but they have no known side effects like I am experiencing.

I have recently used Latisse and am experiencing severe headaches and neck pain....anyone else experience anything like this?! I haven't read anything about side effects like this.

HI. I don't think it's due to Latisse because there are no systemic side affects and no records of this side affect. Since it lowers the Pressure in your eye by a tiny bit, maybe you have some underlying problem with the pressure in your eyes that you were unaware of. If you feel better to go an eye Dr. Let him know and see if he can take the pressure in your eyes. Most likley it has nothing to do with these symptoms, just a coinsidence.

I would very seriously doubt that your symptoms have any thing to do with the Latisse. They sound like coincidental issues that require some further exploring. A competent chiropractor could help with this , and if the issues are still ongoing, I'd see my internist, but I'll bet anything that it has nothing to do with the Latisse applications.

I have actually been experiencing the same exact issue, neck pain, constant headaches and left eyelid feeling heavy. May be a coincidence, but I did schedule an eye exam.

you might be allergic to some of the ingredients in latisse. Or it might be triggering any existing allergies u have like hay fever or so.

Little update: I went to an eye exam on Saturday and the doctor found my eyes to be very healthy, no sign of high eye pressure or infections.Sometimes our minds do find correlations between events that are unrelated I suppose.

I just purchased Latisse 3 days ago. I started applying 2 days ago and the next day after application i had a headache and was dizzy in the afternoon. I went to an opthamologist to get the latisse prescription and he took some baseline pics of my eyelids and took the pressure of my eyeballs. I would go to an opthalmologist/optomotrist. He said my pressure was normal and if lumigan lowered it by 50% I would still be ok. Your eyesight is EVERYTHING. Anyway i'll see if i have more side effects. O

I suppose it could trigger a headache simply from the eye irritation it causes, which might be causing you to squint your eyes or tighten you neck or forhead muscles. But it seems unlikely that it would directly cause headaches.

As per the paperwork in the Latisse box/section 8.... Adverse Reactions The following information is based on clinical trial results from a multicenter, double-masked, randomized, vehicle-controlled, parallel study including 278 adult patients for four months of treatment. The most frequently reported adverse events were eye pruritis, conjunctival hyperemia, skin hyperpigmentation, ocular irritation, dry eye symptoms, and erythema of the eyelid. These events occurred in less than 4% of patients. Adverse reactions reported with bimatoprost ophthalmic solution (LUMIGANĀ®) for the reduction of intraocular pressure include, ocular dryness, visual disturbance, ocular burning, foreign body sensation, eye pain, blepharitis, cataract, superficial punctuate keratitis, eye discharge, tearing, photophobia, allergic conjunctivitis, asthenopia, increases in iris pigmentation, conjunctival edema, abnormal hair growth, iritis, infections (primarily colds and upper respiratory tract infections), headaches, and asthenia. ....it is possible your headaches are from the drug. And the neck/shoulder tension from the headache. Some people are just sensitive to different ingredients in foods, drinks and drugs. It would probably be good to stop usage for a month or so and increase your water to help cleanse your body. I'm just stopping using it as well, just to be sure. Good Luck.

i am using latisse since 2 weeks and since last 7 days i start having the headache only on right hand side little bit above neck where skull starts and my left eye in twitching a lot almost all the times- i never had these problems before. i am 100% sure it is because of latisse. on my left eye around area is more darket then the right eye its just like black circles. i am very concerned if my headache is not gone by next week i will stop using latisse. i have severse headace and annoying left eye twitching. any comments ?

I thought I was imagining my problesms...and didn't realize that they were related. My eye (left) has been ticing (twitching) like crazy. and I have had a severe headache almost constantly at the base of my skull (back) - even went to the dr. I stopped using the product and tics are gone and the headache is gone. I am sure after reading your posst that this is what I had, too. I didn't notice any darkning around my eyes. I would stop using it. I'm sure everyone does not experience these symptoms....thank you I feel less crazy, now.

i do not understand that it would take you another week to decide if this headache will go away. you must like pain or something because if i were to think that something was causing a headache it would only be common sense to stop what is making it happen. sorry to say!!!

THESE ARE EXACTLY MY SYMPTOMS. This is day 7 for me and I take medication for migraines so headaches are not normal for me. I am a bit leery of this vain thing I am doing to my eyes, as I have always had long lashes, they they have thinned over the years and are not very dark, so I dye them s few times per year... that this usage is not tested for very long DOES concern me but it is for a drug for EYES, so I am trying it...But the twitching and darking (veins closer to surface). I know my body and how it behaves to products, skin care,etc... I agree...It's got to be the latisse. I am not sure if I'll stop, but for the twitching, As I said I'M VAIN!

I am a nurse that sells Latisse in our office. Knowing that Latisse is a lower dose of Lumigan and my grandma (has glaucoma) has Lumigan, decided on a dumb idea to treat myself to longer lashes by using the prescription Lumigan over purchasing Latisse (at cost is still $80). DUMB IDEA! I now have headaches/eye pain mainly in the left eye d/t using Lumigan. This is the only thing I can relate sxs back to. This is not the fault of Allergan as Latisse is a purified version of Lumigan. Other people in our office have used Latisse in excess (not following the instructions) and have experienced similar pain! It is an example of how Drug Companys profit off the side effects of drugs.

Hi, i started latisse in November, I started having severe headaches (like I had never had before) within a week. My dr. could find no cause. I started having a pain in my back. then, I started having these weird bouts of blood pressure feelings. Like my head was going to pop off when I stood too fast. My dr. told me to buy a BP machine and start a journal. Then My eye started twitching and would NOT stop, alll day it would twitch, I would go to sleep with it twiching and wake to it's twitching. I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought the twitching might be realted to Latisse, so I discontinued it. the twitchin stopped in 2 days, the blood pressure incidents in 3 and the headaches stopped. My pain in my side it gone. I think it was all related to Latisse. If you are experiencing ANY or some of these problems just stop taking it for a week and see if your problems disappears. I really thought I was very, very sick. When I googled and found this webside where other people have experienced many of my issues - I felt I needed to share my story

I have been having the exact same symptoms! Started Lumigan 2 weeks ago and for the last 5 days have had neck pain and headache, and just feeling "weird." I do have a history of headaches and neck pain, but never for 5 days in a row. Will stop the med tonight and see what happens.

I just started using this product also and went online to see if my left eye twitching (almost all the time) was just me... NOT! I am stopping the product and informing my doctor. As I read the posts here, I notice a familiar "left" eye twitch also. Strange. In any case, I am stopping the usage.
italianprincess 24 Mar 2010
No, not just you at all. I don't use it as consistently anymore and I have seen majority of my issues calm down, BUT the eye twiching is still a killer. I went to the doctor in December and he told me that things like this "just happen" to people at any time, but I do not believe that excuse. I am pretty confident these issues were caused by the active ingredient in Latisse and I will stop using it once I consume my last bottle of it. It truly wasn't worth the hassle to me, especially since my right eye, which is also the eye that CONSTANTLY twiches, has also gotten terribly dry and sensitive.
italianprincess 24 Mar 2010
Eye twiching here too. It's latisse or bimotoprost for sure. I am now on a twice a week schedule, but I will terminate the use once the remaining product I have is gone. Not worth it in my case, never really did a whole to my lashes to begin with.
4634anon 1 May 2010
LMR, Lumigan and Latisse (and the generic/foreign product) all have 0.03% of the active ingredient. I'm surprised a nurse didn't research this before posting.

Thanks for all your comments. I started Latisse 9 days ago and for the past week or so have had headaches and some neck pain, also fatigue. The headaches are on the top of my head, also the forehead. The area around my left eye feels irritated. I'm going to discontinue the Latisse and see what happens.
