Dr John Bitner is simply the best. I honestly feel like he is one of the few doctors that you can actually trust to be honest with you. I began to struggle majorly with my face about 3/4 years ago when I decided to have several laser procedures that left my skin badly damaged with holes, more scars etc. I was so depressed. I felt like there was nothing that would ever make me feel better again until I read about someone having fat transfer to correct their laser damage. My skin used to always be dry, flaky, and always breakout after lasers and the fat transfer definitely is correcting my skin texture. I am scheduled to have a second fat transfer at the end of August as I'm deff not at the improvement yet that I want to be. Doctor will be performing dermabrasion followed by fat transfer to really work at correcting the hole texture left from lasers. Doctor took the time to personally email/text me with questions and concerns and I think he is fair priced. Fat transfer alone cost around $3,000 and then the second one including the dermabrasion will cost $2,000. I am sad I've thrown so much money into lasers and now I've had to spend a pretty penny in hopes of getting my face back to normal so I can have my life back. I will keep you all posted. Dr. Bitner has been my only ray of light through this storm!!!

Had dermabrasion followed by fat transfer on August 22nd so I am now 5 days post op. Dermabrasion recovery is a lot of work but you must stay on top of it to get the best possible result. Surgery went really great, Doctor Bitner & his staff were wonderful like usual and always make me feel at ease. I've been drinking lots of water, taking vitamins, doing vinegar soaks, eating lots of veggies and fruits to get the best results possible. My skin is still really pink as my dead skin is pretty much sloughed off and as far as what I can see I'm pretty pleased with the results...I'll know more in the following weeks once my skin is no longer pink and I don't have to wear Elta cream 24/7. I'll keep everyone posted but like I said Dr. Bitner has been the only ray of light since suffering from Laser Damage a couple years ago..I'm really praying that the holes left from the laser damage will heal up, I'm feeling optimistic & will update here soon !

HI Dandy, that's great that you're on the path to recovery now! I too suffered fat loss from IPL and am trying to find an experienced fat transfer specialist to perform the procedure on me. I could not find any before and after pictures on his site of fat transfer patients. Would you be willing to possibly post some photos of your before and afters? Could you also provide an update to your review and tell us how you're doing now? Very interested and thanks for your review.

Johnny, I will look in my pictures to see where I saved my before/ afters. I'm doing good now. My laser damage is not 100% however, I'd say approx 70% improvement. I currently now am doing dermarolling at home with a .5 & 1.0 needle from MT Rollers that I purchased off amazon. Following rolling I've been applying MSM cream also purchased off of amazon. I used to have a horrible flaky texture after laser damage and this cream has done amazing things to soften my skin back. I feel like dermarolling will take time and commitment but I'm dedicated to fixing the little holes the laser created. Hopefully I can be a good contact person for you, I know there's a small group of us on this site who are all looking for that cure!

Hi Dandy, thanks for your reply and apologies if I came off suspicious in another thread but it's hard to weed through this site at times knowing what I know and trying to filter out fact from fiction. My biggest issues right now are lines and sagging skin. The holes I was able to improve by using Accutane. Could you please tell me whether or not you've retained the fat and whether or not it helped at all with lines, hyperpigmentation, and hypopigmentation as well as sagging skin? I'd really appreciate it.

Oh and here is a copy of the PM I sent you. I've included this copy in another thread as you had replied there to me as well. "Hi Dandy, I like you suffered laser damage and have lost volume in the right side of my face. Along with the volume loss ive experienced weird acne like lesions, lines, depressed scarring, etc... I am considering making an appointment with Dr. Bitner but before doing so I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me. 1) Did getting the fat transfer done help with your texture issues? 2) How was the fat harvested i.e. liposuction or syringe? 3) Has the fat transfer held up so far? Any issues like lumps or volume loss in one area thus making other areas look uneven? Thanks for your time and help. " You have answered the question in regards to symmetry / lumps already but if you could answer some of the others I posed along with maybe telling me how exactly fat transfer helped with your texture (without dermabrasion) I'd really appreciate it.

No worries! let me answer you questions first to the first message you sent: fat grafting did indeed help with my texture issues, it mad my skin a lot more softer, I am super fair so have always had some pinkness to my face but deff did not stay red like when I had the procedure done. I never suffered from saggy skin/lines, just fat loss & holes so I can't answer that but I'm assuming it would help. He harvested the fat via liposuction. I was awake for the procedure but given Valium and also a "twilight anesthesia" so I was awake but didn't really know what was going on and nor do I remember it all as your memory is foggy during it! Doctor took the fat from the sides of both of my hips as he said that is the best fat supply to use. I am happy that I had the procedure done as I believe the stem cells in the fat will help with the dermarolling etc. it also has filled in my face and so far probably 60 percent or so was retained (I had it done 2X) he give a significant discount for the 2nd time as most people require 2. Also he puts a little bit more in knowing your body will retain it. No lumpiness or unevenness and it's been almost 4 months since my last procedure. What's your email & I can send you some pictures? So you said that Accutane fixed your hole issues? Can you enlighten me on how long, dosage, etc on how that helped you and also what percentage of improvement it gave and if you have any befores/afters?

Hi Dandy, so I started using Accutane after reading Waynee / Vickyy's blog in regards to it helping with texture. I initially started with 20mg and now at 6 months im at 40mg and will try to do 60mg for another 4 months before quitting. The Accutane helped fill in some of the holes but I still have a few here and there but not noticeable unless I really look close. You should be aware4 that Accutane carries many risk and so I go and get monthy monitoring done at the dermatologists where they chick for cholesterol, triglycerides, Comp metabolic test, etc... Accutane can raise your cholesterol and give you dry lips as well as many other issues. You want to be very careful using it. I will PM you my email right now. If you could let me know whether you got it or not I'd appreciate it. I sent you a PM on November 28th so im wondering now if the site is having issues delivering it? If you don't get it let me know through here and maybe you can just try PM'ing me your email address if it fails again. Thanks again for your help.

Ugh sorry for the spelling errors I was typing off of my phone also. Oh and to answer your question in regards to before / after photos of myself I tried to take them but the camera was not able to pick up the damage. I need a camera that has the option of "macro" setting. Supposedly that would enable me to capture the damage then. If you have any other questions for me in regards to Accutane feel free to ask me. Just remember that if you have managed to recover oil back into your face after the fat transfer then the Accutane will most likely dry you out again. It shrinks the oil glands and increases cell turnover.
