Is This Really Happening? - Latham, NY

Karen, Dr. DeLuca's secretary, has been NOTHING but helpful, nice, supportive and generally concerned about what happened today. She was so patient with me, my constant phone calls and rants today. She is WONDERFUL....

Long story short, my primary doc did not want me to go under so she did not sign a release. Dr. DeLuca's office was willing to do it with a spinal but now she/they need more clearance from other doctors. What doctors, I do not know. I'll find out tomorrow. Probably yet ANOTHER MRI, ANOTHER cardiac test, ANOTHER visual field test, etc. They probably want to test when was the last time I jumped rope. I am really, really disappointed. They have to postpone it until the end of the month. I got into a screaming fit on the phone with my doctor. She was very supportive of my having a TT with an "epidural." Come to find out, they don't do it with an epidural because it doesn't paralyze the muscles. She wouldn't even sign off if it WAS with an epidural. That's my life---nothing can be easy. One disappointment after another. We will see what the end of June holds for me... :(

My stomach is doing FLIPS!!! The only thing I am really nervous about is going under and waking up the same way I was when I went to sleep....Last time I went under I couldn't see....Positive thoughts and prayers please! My neuro said that I will have no problems and so did the anethesiologist....Just scared. But excited to get rid of this skin!!!!!
