“The results are amazing”
Laser resurfacing: Worth it
Pain: Mild
I had CO2 facial resurfacing 6 weeks ago. Although I am still pretty red I tink the results are definately worth it. Please be prepared to follow the instructions to the letter and if you are not a person who can stick to a routine, don't do it.
I did not think it was painful, just itchy and felt like a sun burn but the vinegar/water solution and aquaphor helped. The aquaphor is a major pain as it gets on everything.
I would like to ask others for comments as I woke up this morning and it looks like I have small red scratches on one cheek and along the hairline beside each eye. Not sure if this is normal. I have applied sun screen and avoided the sun but I am wondering if this is any type of sun damage.
I am glad I did it as the lines around my lips are almost nonexistent and the skin is tightening around my jaw line. I just turned 64 and the staff at the movie theater questioned my being 60 when I wanted to join their senior movie club. That was fun!

I had CO2 laser about 9 yrs. ago and my skin is still good, as I have maintained a good skin regimine and used a good sun block. It's worth all the hassle with the down time. Maybe you scratched your face in your sleep, which might account for the scratches. I woke up at night scratching my face and ultimately had to go on prednisone. I don't see how your scratches could be from the sun.

What type of laser did you have? Was it Active FX?
